What is the age limit for sc,st candidate fo CDs.

Hello friend,
In the Combined Defense Service exam, there is no relaxation of age for candidates belonging to any category. The maximum age limit for candidates belonging to SC/ST category, OBC category and general category is equal.
Since the examination is conducted for recruitment of candidates in all the major defense forces of India, the age limit varies and are as follows:
Indian Military Academy- 19-24 years
Naval Academy- 19-22 years
Air Force Academy- 19-23 years
Officers Training Academy- 19-25 years.

The above mentioned age limit is applicable to candidates belonging to any category.

Eligibility for CDS exam:-

For Indian Military Academy:-

The age should be in between 19-24 years..
No such upper age relaxation is mention for the SC/ST..

For Navy:-

The age should be in between 19-22 years..
No such upper age relaxation is mention for the SC/ST..

For Air-force:-

The age should be in between 19-23 years.
No such upper age relaxation is allotted for SC/ST..

Dear pal,
CDS is the combined defence service conducted by upsc for admitting the aspirant into the Indian military. The exam is conducted twice a year.
ARMY
a degree from a recognised university.The age limit for appearing in the exam is maximum of 24. The relaxation is as per norms.
NAVY
bachelor degree in th field of engineering. The age for appearing in the exam is 19 to 22.
AirFORCE
10+2 qualification with maths , physics as subject. Aspirant is eligible if he is between 19 and 23.
Short service commission
only male graduate with technical background are eligible.
Short service commission
women graduates with non technical background are eligible for applying

The AGE limit details are as follows :

• Indian Military Academy- 19 to 24 years
  
• Air Force Academy- 19 to 23 years
  
• OTA- 19 to 25 years

COMBINED DEFENSE SERVICE EXAMINATION

This examination is conducted by UPSC (union public service commission) every year.

for appear in this examination, you must possess graduation degree from a recognized college .
to apply for naval & air force branch, you must have graduation in science stream, compulsory subject as PHYSICS, MATHS.with at least 60%.

the age limit for this examination is 19-24,,
sorry to say that, there is not any kind of age relaxations are given to any scheduled caste\tribes, obc .

COMBINED DEFENSE SERVICE EXAMINATION

This examination is conducted by UPSC (UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION),through this examination one can apply for any combat branch of the Indian army.-
1. NAVAL WING
2. AIR FORCE WING
3. MILITARY BRANCH

Educational qualification-
graduation with PHYSIC & MATHS from a recognized college.

Age limit-
19-24, years,.
there is not the any kind of age relaxations are applicable for any scheduled caste\tribes.

Age limit for CDS(Common Defence Service) exam.

The exam is conducted by UPSC(union public service commission)

* Candidates should be a graduate from a recognized university
* Age limit must be within 19-22 years for Navy
* For Navy candidates should be a graduate in engineering from a recognized university.
* Age limit must be within 19-24 years for Army
* For army candidates should be a graduate from a recognized university.
* Age limit must be within 19-23 years for Air Force.
* For air force candidates should complete 12th from a recognized institute.
* Only unmarried male candidates are allowed for the exam
* Final year can also attend the exam.

UPSC/Ministry of defence should give age relaxation for officer entry in all three armed forces for SC/ST/OBC

* CDS stands for Combined Defense Services.

* The CDS exam is conducted every year by the Union Public Service Commission for the recruitment of candidates in the following academies of defense :

a) Officers Training Academy
b) Air Force Academy
c) Naval Academy
d) Indian Military Academy.

Now the age limit differs from one another so i have described the age limit for all of the above separately for your sake of convenience -

Age Limit :-

* Officers Training Academy - 19-25 Years

* Indian Military Academy - 19-24 Years

* Air Force Academy - 19-23 years

upsc website says that for AFA one should have a B.Sc degree but add of CDS exams says only PHY CHEM AND MATH at 10 2 level and a degree from a recognized university. I am confused please help me out.
