what is the age limit for ST candidate applying for CDS exam?

In CDS exam the age limits are different for different exams:

19 to 24 years for Indian Military Academy

19 to 22 years for Naval Academy

19 to 23 years for Air Force Academy

19 to 25 years for Officers Training Academy

CDS stands for Combined Defence Service . UPSC Conduct CDS Examination for twice in a year .

Educational Qualification:-

For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy : Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
For Indian Naval Academy : Degree in Engineering for CDSE and Degree in Engineering or B.Sc. ( with Physics or Mathematics ) for NCC entry.
For Air Force Academy : Degree of recognized University ( with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level ) or Bachelor of Engineering.

Age Criteria:-

Indian Military Academy: - 19-24 Years
Air Force Academy: - 19-23 Years
Naval Academy: - 19-22 Years
Officer's Training Academy: - 19-25 Years

#### There is no reservation policy in Age criteria for ST candidate .

Combined Defence Services Examination is conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment into the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Naval Academy and Air Force Academy.

Age Limit:

Indian Military Academy 19-24 years

Air Force Academy 19-23 years

Naval Academy 19-22 years

Officers’ Training Academy 19-25 years

Officers’ Training Academy: Degree of a recognized University .

For Indian Naval Academy: Degree in Engineering.

For Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.

There is no age relaxation available on the basis of category in Defence jobs . Hence you will not get any age relaxation.

In defence posts the rules are very strict in case of age and medical fitness . There is no age relaxation in terms of caste.

So if you want to apply for CDS exam then you have to be according to following age criteria:

-Air force Academy - 19 to 23 years

-Naval Academy - 19 to 22 years

-Indian Military Academy- 19 to 24 years

-officers training Academy - 19 to 25 years

Please note that you will be eligible for Navy and Air Force only when you have completed your Graduation in Engineering or Maths or Physics.

The selection procedure will have following stages and you have to pass every stage of this exam.

-Objective Type Paper

-SSB Interview

-Medical examination

Hence you must be well prepared for CDS exam then only you will be able to qualify it.

Medical fitness is uppermost priority hence you must be medically fit to join defence.

CDS - Combined Defence Service, the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year to join Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy.

There is no special age relaxation for any reserved category candidate to apply for CDS.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian unmarried National having completed Graduation in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 25 years with no upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidate with good Physical and Mental Fitness.

Eligibility:

Age limit:

Your Minimum age limit is 19 years.

And maximum age limit is 24 years.

There is no age relaxation for the SC\St candidates.

Educational Qualification:

You should complete the Graduation from any recognized University.

There is no min percentage required for this exam.

Final year pursuing candidates are eligible for this exam.

Nationality:

Candidate should be citizen of India.

Gender:

Only male candidates are eligible for this exam.

But candidate should be unmarried.

Female candidates are not eligible.

age limit for NDA : 16 1/2 - 19 years
age limit for CDS : 19-24 years

In CDS there are 4 wings for which exam is conducted and they are:
>> IMA - Graduation Pass in any Stream
>> OTA- Graduation Pass in any Stream
>> AIRFORCE- Graduation Pass with Phy and Maths as subjects in class 12th or BE/BTECH
>> NAVY - Graduation Pass with Phy and Maths as subjects in class 12th or BE/BTECH


AGE LIMITS-
IMA- Between 19- 24 years
OTA Between 19- 25 years
NAVY - Between 19- 22 years
AIR FORCE - Between 19- 23 years

There is no Age Relaxation given to SC/ST candidates or even OBC candidates
