For appearing in Government jobs entrance examination (banking, railway, defence services, civil services ) the basic required eligibility is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognised university.

The minimum required aggregate to appear for examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree with qualifying marks.

So, you are eligible to appear for examination with 49% in bachelor degree.
