Hi, here is situation of one of my student.. #he passed his 10th in 2013, ## he filled application forms for class XII and JEE main in 2015 but could not appear to any of these two due to medical reasons. ## now he is going to appear Class XII exam in 2016 #also wish to appear for JEE maps in 2016. ## will he be eligible for JEE advanced in 2017? He wish to repeat for JEE advanced in 2017.
###some people are saying that as he didn’t appear for Class XII in 2015, that won’t be considered as an attempt. So he can appear in 2017 too. ## and some people are sarong that, as he par his Class X in 2013, he won’t be eligible for JEE advanced in 2017. ## will be be eligible for JEE advanced in 2017?

The number of attempts for JEE Main and Advanced examination is counted on basis of year in which candidate has appeared for board examination. As this candidate will appear for board examination in 2016, he will be eligible for JEE Main examination in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
