Am I eligible for MCA programme while pursuing BCA degree? I have completed 12th with Mathematics


Sir/Madam

I am Himanshu Gupta have some query regarding MCA eligibility. I have completed my 12 class with mathematics 76. I am pursuing BCA Degree programme through distance learning from Sikkim Manipal University - Gangtok (DEC Approved); am I eligible for MCA programme and if yes what will be the percentage requirement. Pls reply and guide as soon as possible.

Yes you are eligible for the MCA course after completing the BCA course since you degree is approved by DEC. The most important requirement is to have studied mathematics as a separate subject at the 12 th class level. The minimum percentage to be secured in the graduation level is 60%. You cannot join for the MCA program while pursuing the BCA course. The successful completion of the BCA course only will make you eligible for MCA. The final year degree students are eligible to apply for the MCA program.
