Lets see the next year age limits of this examination.

The age should between 16.5 years and 19 years.Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January 1994 and not later than 1st July,1996 are eligible.

You are quite eligible to apply for the NDA examination 2012 part-I.

The eligibility criteria for the NDA examination is that the candidate should be a class 12th pass.The age of the candidate must be between 16.5 years to 19 years.Only unmarried male candidate can apply.

NDA (National Defence Academy) is one of the platforms through which you can express your indomitable spirit for your own country India.

Eligibility for Indian Army :
1:You should pass 12(10+2)th or its equivalent from State Board / Universities. you can also apply as appearing for 12th examination.

2:Marital Status:Unmarried

3:Sex :Male.

4:Age Limit : Between 16.5 and 19.

5:Nationality:

Application Forms are published in any leading newspapers during March or April every year and entrance examination to be held by the UPSC six months later from the application form is published.

The UPSC (NDA) exam is conducted twice a year (April and October)in all major cities throughout India.

Each year course start twice January and July.

Selection Procedure: National Defence Academy selects the candidates in three phases :

i)A written examination by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC).
ii)An interview by the Service Selection Board(SSC) to check the potentialities Intelligence and personality.
iii)A medical examination by a Service Medical Board(SMB).

The written examination is of two papers of all objective type questions.
i)Mathematics of 2.5 hours maximum number 300 including Arithmetic, Mensuration, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics.

ii)General Ability test of 2.5 hours maximum number 600 including General English, General Knowledge,Physics,Chemistry,General Science,History,Freedom Movement,Geography,Current Event

After clearing the written exam you will be called for a five-day interview process with the State Selection Board (SSB) which is the final step of selection.

On completion of the NDA course, you are sent to the respective service academies for your pre- commission training.

here i given some important eligibility criteria like as-

12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

A candidate must be an unmarried male and have attained the age of 16 1/2 years and must not have attained the age 19 years on the 1st January or 1st of July of the year succeeding the year of examination.
Candidates must not marry until they complete their full training. A candidate who marries subsequent to the date of his application, though successful will not be selected for training.

A candidate must be a citizen of India,

Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination as per guidelines given :

Candidates are advised to rectify minor defects/ailments in order to speed up finalisation of medical examination conducted at the Military Hospital after being recommended at the SSB. The undermentioned ailments are considered, common minor ailments :

-a candidait should be 12th from any state board or central board
with atleast 60% marks in PCM stream or math as one of the
subject

- an appearing candidate can also apply for the exam

Eligibility for NDA

In order to appear for NDA exam you need to be in the age limit of 16.5-19 years and should have passed out 12th from a recognized board..

As far as age is concerned, yes, you are definitely eligible for the NDA (1) 2012 as your age at that time will be 19 year but i don't think you shall be eligible for the NDA (2) 2012 which is in August as your age would have exceeded 19 years by then..

So this is going to be your last shot for the NDA exam..

The forms shall be available from 31st December,2011 and the last date for form submission is 30th January,2012..

The exam shall be conducted on 15th April,2012..

The exam shall test your basic knowledge of maths,english and general knowledge..

you are not totally eligible on the basis on the age criteria required for appearing in the NDA [NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY], examination, conducted by the UPSC [UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION].

Remark the fact that, there is not any kind of age limit reservation applicable for the SC\ST candidates .

Through this examination, one can apply in all the combatant branches of the Indian army ,,ie in AIR FORCE ,

MILITARY BRANCH..
