hi very gm.......My name is Akhil Sisodiya.......my date of birth is 6th june 1994............so being a candidate am i eligible for the 2013 NDA exams?

NDA stand for National Defence Service Exam.This exam is conduct twice time in a year.

NDA Examination is conducted in 3 wings:

• Indian Air Force
• Indian Navy
• Indian Army

The candidate must have a complete the 12th from a recognized university Or equivalent qualification are applicable for NDA exam.Science student are applicable for NDA all branch but Commerce and arts department are applicable for only Indian Army post.

There is no percentage criteria for the candidate.But you must have minimum marks in 12th standard .

Candidates who are appearing in the 12th examination can also apply for the examination.

The candidate age should between 16.5 years to 19 years.There is no age relaxation for Sc/ST candidate . Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply. You must have Citizenship of India.

As per your age criteria you are applicable for for NDA I exam but you are not applicable for NDA II Exam .

The selection procedure for NDA exam is 1) Written Test. 2) Personal Interview.

Age: 16½ to 19 years.

There are Two-stage selection procedure based on Psychological Aptitude Test and Intelligence Test has been introduced at Selection Centres/ Air Force Selection Boards. All the candidates will be put to stage one test on first day of reporting at Selection Centres/ Air Force Selection Boards. Only those candidates who qualify at stage one will be admitted to the second stage/ remaining tests. Those candidates who qualify stage II will be required to submit the original Certificates along with one photocopy each of:

original Matriculation pass certificate or equivalent in support of date of birth
Original 10+2 pass certificate or equivalent in support of educational qualification.


To be acceptable, candidates for the Army/ Navy/ Naval Academy and Air Force should secure the minimum qualifying marks separately in

Written examination as fixed by the Commission at their discretion

As per your age , yes you are eligible for the NDA Exam 2013 but at the same time you have to fulfill the other eligibility criteria .

Since you fall in the age bracket of 16.5-19 years which is the age limit for appearing in NDA exam therefore, you are eligible to give this examination. For more information please carefully read the information below.

NDA Exam Eligibility Criteria:-

NDA stands for National Defense Academy. This exam is for the candidates who are interested to pursue a career in defense and you can enter the following academies on successfully cracking this exam:-

• Indian Military Academy
• Naval Academy
• Air Force Academy

This exam is twice conducted by the Union Public Service Commission in the months of April and September. In the application form you need to mention whether you want to join NDA or NA. Though you have the liberty to mention your preferences but ultimately which academy you will get depends on the score you secure.

1. Nationality:- This exam is only for the unmarried male citizens of India. During your stay in the academy you can't get married. Unfortunately girls cannot give this examination therefore.

2. Edcuational Qualification:-

~Indian Military Academy:- For the Indian Military Academy you just need to pass H.S. or its equivalent from a recognized board as mentioned earlier. Here your subject combination at 10+2 level does not matters.

~Air Force Academy & Naval Academy:- You have to pass 12th standard successfully from a recognized board but in addition to that they need to have physics and mathematics as their compulsory subjects at 10+2 level.

3. Age Limit:-

Minimum Age Limit:- 16.5 years
Maximum Age Limit:- 19 years

4. Selection Procedure:-

The selection procedure to give this exam includes:-

• Written Examination
• Physical Test by SSB
• Intelligence Test

5. Exam Pattern:-

The exam will consist of two papers and for both the paper 2.5 hours each have been allotted. The total marks allotted for the exam is 900. For the first paper 300 marks have been allotted and for the second paper 600 marks have been allotted.

1. Mathematics (2.5 hours)- 300 marks
2. General Ability Test (2.5 hours)- 600 marks

In the second paper, General Ability Test questions will come from Physics, Chemistry, Geography, General Science, History and Current Events.
