Age-limits for NDA exam?
My date of birth is 02-02-93 am i eligible to give nda exam which will held in august 2011?? Please tell me its urgent!

Age limit for NDA Exam:
Age Limits: 16 ½ – 19 years Age limit is counted such that the candidate should not cross the above mentioned age till the date of commencement of course for every year. regards |

Yes you can apply for NDA&NA examination 2011 which is to be scheduled in August 2011.
For being eligible to the exam one's date of birth should should fall between 2nd July 1992 and 1st January, 1995. As your DOB is 2nd FEB 1993 so, you are eligible for this exam. The notification for the exam will be published on 20th March 2011 in national dailies and Employment News weekly. The last date of receipt of application is 19th April 2011 and the exam will be conducted 22nd August 2011. |

A candidate can apply for the NDA II exam which is going to be held on 21.08.2011 if his age limit is between 16½ - 19 years as on 01.07.2012. So if your age limit is between 16½ - 19 years at the time of training then you are eligible to appear for the NDA II exam. The other eligibility criteria for required for the NDA exam is given below: Education Qualification You can apply for the NDA exam if you have completed your 10+2 exam. If a candidate is appeared in the 10+2 exam then also they are eligible to apply for the NDA exam. To apply for the Indian Air force and Navy a candidate should have Physics and Maths as a compulsary subjects. For the Army wing you need only 10+2. # Age between 16.5 to 19 years #Unmarried male candidates only #XII Class / Equivalent passed certificate conducted by State Board / Universities. Candidate appearing for above examination are eligible to apply. yes you can certainly apply for NDA exam because on 02.02.2011 you are only 18 yrs old. but u must have done matriculation before applying for this exam as because u need to produce the certificate at ur interview after selection... |

The National Defence Acadmey examination conducted by union public service commision every twice in a year The eligibility criteria is as follows: a) Nationality : A candidate must either be : i) a citizen of India, or ii) a subject of Bhutan, or iii) a subject of Nepal, or iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India with the intention of permanently settling in India. b) Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status : A candidate must be an unmarried male and have attained the age of 16 1/2 years and must not have attained the age 19 years on the 1st January or 1st of July of the year succeeding the year of examination. |

NDA exams are conducted in two stages as NDA I and NDAII by UPSC.
the age limit for applying in NDA IS FROM16 1/2 YEARS TO 19 YEARS. anyone who does not satisfies this limit is not be able to apply for exams. since your age is in between 16 1/2 and 19 years you can apply for exams. As you requested, here i am providing the age criteria for NDA exam.
For NDA exam, one should be in the age group of 16 1/2 years to 19 years. As per the academic qualification, one should have completed his 10+2. Even the candidates who have appeared for the 12th exam are also eligible to apply. |

National Defence Academy (NDA) Entrance Examination : Eligibility (a) Nationality : A candidate must either be : i) a citizen of India, or ii) a subject of Bhutan, or iii) a subject of Nepal, or iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India with the intention of permanently settling in India, or v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. Certificate of eligibility will not, however, be necessary in the case of candidates who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal. (b) Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status : A candidate must be an unmarried male and have attained the age of 16 1/2 years and must not have attained the age 19 years on the 1st January or 1st of July of the year succeeding the year of examination. Candidates must not marry until they complete their full training. A candidate who marries subsequent to the date of his application, though successful will not be selected for training. A candidate who marries during training shall be discharged and will be liable to refund all expenditure incurred on him by the Government. (c) Educational Qualifications : For Army wing of National Defence Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University. For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 (Executive Branch) Course at the Naval Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equilvalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University. Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply. (d) Physical Standards : Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination as per guidelines given : Candidates are advised to rectify minor defects/ailments in order to speed up finalisation of medical examination conducted at the Military Hospital after being recommended at the SSB. The undermentioned ailments are considered, common minor ailments : Wax (Ears), Deviated Nasal Septum, Hydrocele/Phimosis, Overweight/Underweight, Under sized Chest, Piles, Gynaecomastia, Tonsillitis, Varicocele A candidate recommended by the Services Selection Board will undergo a medical examination by a Board of Service Medical Officers. Only those candidates will be admitted to the academy who are declared fit by the Medical Board. The proceedings of the Medical Board are confidential and will not be divulged to anyone. However the candidates declared unfit will be intimated by the President of the Medical Board and the procedure for request for an Appeal Medical Board will also be intimated to the candidate. Candidates declared unfit during Appeal Medical Board will be intimated about the provision of Review Medical Board. (a) The candidate must be in good physical and mental health and free from any disease/disability which is likely in interfere with the efficient performance of military duties. (b) There should be no evidence of weak constitution, bodily defects or under weight. The candidate should not be overweight or obese. (c) The minimum acceptable height is 157.5 cms. the age limit for the NDA exam is 16 and half years to - 19 years
the candidates born between 2nd july 1993 to the 1st january 1995 are eligible for the exam and only male and unmarried are eligible .... and obviously my friend you are absolutely eligible for the exam so start the preparation of the exam best of luck |

16 ½ to 19 years........ only male and unmarried candidates can give exams....... for academic qualification you should have completed your 10+2....a candidate in 12th can also give the exam........ so you fulfill the age criteria for giving exam and you are eligible..... |

NDA exam is conducted by UPSC twice in a year .There are several defense academy you can join through this exam -
Air force Military Academy Naval Academy Eligibility criteria for NDA - 1. 12th from any recognized board . 2. 12th with PCM. 3. Age limit = 16.5 to 19 years . 4. Candidate should be a citizen of India . So as you can see from the criteria the age limit is 16.5 to 19 years . the nest NDA exam date = 15/4/2012 As your date of birth is =2/2/1993 Then of course you are eligible for the exam . Every year 3rd sunday of april, augest months this exam held. age limit of this exam: The age of the candidate must be within 16.5 to 19 years. |

NDA stands for National Defence Academy, the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II for entray in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.
The age limit for NDA is from 16.5 to 19 years with no upper age relaxation for any reserved category candidate. Apart from this The candidate must be an unmarried Indian Male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board with good Physical and Mental Fitness.
