Hello friend,
If you want to join Indian Army, you will have to write Combined Defense Service Exam, conducted by UPSC. To be eligible for the exam, you must be a graduate, in any stream. The minimum eligible age for the exam is 19 years and the maximum age limit is 24 years.

If you want to join Indian Army after +2, you may appear for NDA exam. NDA exam is also conducted by UPSC. The minimum eligible age for the exam is 16 1/2 years and the maximum age limit is 19 years.

Ya of course the commerce students can definitely apply for the NDA exam but they are eligible to get only the Army wing in the NDA. Below I have provided the eligibility criteria for the NDA entrance exam you can go through that.

Eligibility for NDA

NDA is the entrance exam for the admission in the India's NATIONAL DEFENSE ACADEMY.
The NDA exam is conducted by the UPSC twice in a year. One you clear all the exams in the NDA then you get a job under the government of India. After a training of one year after selection you get the permanent job.

The eligibility for the NDA exam is that one should have passed the 10+2 board exam from any stream but from a recognized board , it is for the Army wing only.
But for the Air Force and the Navy you have to pass the 10+2 board exam from the recognized board and should have maths and physics as the compulsory subjects in the 10+2 board exam.

The age criteria is from 16.5 years to 19 years for the general category students.
Also there is upper age relaxation for the OBC of 3 years and for the SC/St there is 5 years of age relaxation on the upper age limit.

Otherwise the commerce students can also join the air force and the navy after the completion of their graduation and then they can give the CDS exam and after qualifying that exam they can join the Indian Army.For the other details on the CDS you can visit the UPSC official website http://www.upsc.gov.in

dear friend,
as you are from commerce and you want to join in Indian Army then you have to first complete your graduation..
After completion of your graduation you can appear in defense exam like-CDSE..
CDSE(combined defense service exam) is conducted by UPSC...
The eligibility criteria for CDSE exam-
*one must have complete the graduation first..
*The age should be in between 19-25years...
these are the criteria you have to fulfill..

Yes, you are eligible for NDA Examination.

what is syllbus for cds

NDA Entrance examination is the acronym for National Defense Academy Entrance Examination.

The basic Eligibility criteria for this examination are as follows.
->Candidate must basically be Indian.
->Appearing Candidate must not get married at the time of application.
->The age of the candidate must be in between 16 1/2 and 19 years only.
on 1st Jan or 1st July respectively with NDA1 and NDA2

These are the basic eligibility criterion

Coming to the Educational Qualification Requirements.
For Airforce wing or Naval wing the candidates must be completed 10+2 in MPC Stream only
For Army wing the candidates with all 10+2 are eligible to apply.

Some Conditions after joining the training are
->you should not think about marriage till the end of the training.
->if you found married in between then you have to revert some amount which is said to be spent on you for training. and you will get banned from training.

Physical Qualities.

->Every candidate must be physically fit.
->If any minor defects they have to get it corrected before their suspension from the program/training.

Height : the Minimum acceptable height is more than 157.5 cms.
