Eligibility For UGC NET

The National Eligibility Test (NET) is conducted by UGC (University Grants Commission) for lectureship as well as Junior Research Fellowship..

The exam is conducted in the months of June and December..

Candidates applying for the exam must satisfy the following eligibility criterion :-

>> The candidate must be a final year post graduation student or must have already completed post graduation from a recognized institute with an aggregate off 55% without rounding off (50% for SC/ST)

>> Candidates applying for JRF must be less than 28 years as on the first date of the month of the exam..

Your institute must be a recognized one and it does not matter if you pursue your course from distance education..you are still eligible but you do need to secure 55% in your post graduation..

You will be facing 3 papers :-

Paper-1 you need to attempt any 50 questions out of 60 in 75 minutes..

Paper-2 you will have attempt 50 questions in 75 minutes..

Paper-3 you need to attempt 75 questions in 120 minutes..
