The minimum academic qualification for admission through JEE is a pass grade in the final examination of 10+2 system or its equivalent, referred to as the Qualifying Examination in this brochure. In case the relevant qualifying examination is not a public examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination at an earlier level.

Eligibility: You must make sure that you satisfy all the eligibility conditions given below for appearing in JEE-2011

Date of birth: Candidate belonging to GE, OBC and DS categories must be born on or after October 01, 1986 and those belonging to SC, ST and PD categories must be born on or after October 01, 1981

Year of passing qualifying examination (QE): Must have passed the qualifying examination, namely, XII standard or any equivalent examination, after 1st October 2009 or in the year 2010 or will be appearing in 2011
Minimum percentage of marks in QE: candidates belonging to GE, OBC and DS categories must secure at least 60% marks and candidates belonging to SC, ST and PD categories must secure at least 55% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination.

hello friend
the minimum eligibility criteria for the IITJEE is a minimum of the 60% of the marks in the 12th board exam

there are only two attempts one can make in the IITJEE exam

so as you have scored 60% of the marks in the 12th board exam so you are absolutely eligible for the IITJEE entrance exam

so best of luck

you have not mentioned whether you have got this 60% as overall in class 12th boards or this is the aggregate marks of PCM in 12th boards..
anyway..you are the best judge of yourself so i will just tell you the minimum criteria for appearing in IIT-JEE

1) you should be a 12th pass out from science stream with an aggregate percentage of 60% in PCM in 12th boards
2) you have only 2 attempts for clearing IIT-JEE..your first attempt is in the same year in which you pass out 12th boards and the next one will be in the very next year

if you fail to meet these two conditions, then i am sorry but you cannot appear for IIT-JEE

~Hope this helps.. ~

With Warm Regards

IIT is the toughest exam in world
one can attempt only twice
you have not mentioned whether you have got this 60% as overall in class 12th boards or this is the aggregate marks of PCM in 12th boards..
anyway..you are the best judge of yourself so i will just tell you the minimum criteria for appearing in IIT-JEE

Hope this helps..

[B]With Warm Regards

GOOD LUCK
