yes for school teaching as PRT/TGT you must have a b.ed degree and graduation with 50% overall.

Yes for SSC (School Service Commission) a B.Ed degree is necessary, in each and every state of India not only West Bengal.

B.Ed degree can not be achieved without a graduation degree.

Graduation with minimum 50% marks is required for general category.

and there is a relaxation of marks for SC/ST candidates according to universities.

For Example in case of Burdwan University SC/ST candidates should have atleast 40% marks in graduation to become eligible for B.Ed.

I think 50% marks are compulsary in West Bengal School Service Commission Exam. for the next exam i.e. from 12th RLST because for a good educated Asstt. Teacher in Secondary & Higher Education.

Upper age limit 40 years instead of 37 years for general candidates.However age relaxation by 5 years for S.C. / S.T. candidates and 3 years for O.B.C. candidates and 8 years for P.H. candidates will be given on the age of 40 years.

I want to tell you that without graduation you can not appear in SSC(School Service Commision) exam and more than 50% marks in graduation needed for School Service commission. Prepare for it because its question paper is little hard. Give your hundred percent in hardworking. Solve question papers.
