Engineering is the best choice for better career and good future.
In engineering there is no low level course and at a time there is no high grade course . In present situation there is no scope in software side because there are many degree holders are waiting for job out side.
hence my suggestion is go to other than software .
you can join in civil
mechanical , chemical , aeronautical , marine ,and so on.

If you are ranker then try for { IIT & NIT} there your future will be bright .

Dear friend

At Present, the best Engineering course is Electronics and Communication Engineering(ECE).The ECE course has much demand and it is a evergreen branch in the engineering course. After completing the ECE course with more than 60% of marks, you can find excellent job opportunities in both software and hardware fields in boh the government and private sectors. If you are interested to continue your studies after completing the engineering, then you can go for M.Tech in ECE,VLSI,etc...

All The Best
