respected sir,
first of all i would like to tell you what is main difference between these boards. 1) these boards are seprated by dificulty level and government. 2) gseb is run by state government and its syllabus is easy as compared with cbsc and icsc boards. 3) the important thing while taking admission is to analyse the level of your child. 4) if your child is better in stud ies and hard working then he is correct student for cbsc and icsc. 5) as this is very competition is increasing day by day so it is better your child is in cbsc board now you will again ask that why not isce instead of cbsc answer is that , in india all competitive exams like iitjee, aieee, upsc includes the syllabus of ncert that is cbsc. so by thinking about future its better to be in cbse board rather than icsc. |

The student have much better chance of competing at national level competitive exams if He/she has studied in CBSE vis-a-vie GSEB or state board.
But the point in favor of State borad is 1. I have herd that if the student studies in state board, then there are more number of seats available for her after she does her 12th Standard and Gujarat board allows admission based on 12th standard results. 2. I have also herd that talks are on to upgrade the syllabus of GSEB equivalent to CBSE which means that GSEB students will be at par with CBSE students when competing at entrance exams. so if we can get benefit of syllabus equivalent to CBSE with previliges of GSEB why to go for GSEB? |

among GSEB, CBSE, ICSE tha best one is cbse. gseb is for gujarat students. so sometimes it becomes difficult to take admission in other states. cbse board is for students all over india. they never face problem in taking admission in any state. also it is mentality of indians that they give more respect to cbse students. |

hello sir.
well if you want your child to gain more knowledge then he/she must study through a board that is recognized by the government and whose degree can be shown world wide. keeping these things in mind i would suggest you to provide him/her education through CBSE board which will be quite helpful for a bright future..... all the best |

GSEB, CBSE or ICSE GSEB ( Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board ) is a state board. CBSE ( Central Board of Secondary Education ) or ICSE ( Indian Certificate of Secondary Education ) comes in Central Board. - The difference between CBSE and ICSE are as follows.. The medium of instruction can be selected in CBSE between English and Hindi while in ICSE board it's only English. - And off-course CBSE and ICSE is a better board when compared with GSEB because the syllabus are quite advanced and tough which helps to gain more knowledge. - If you prefer to for Gujarati language to be studied by your child and wants to be raise that way then GSEB board will be good - CBSE is recognized by the Indian Government and ICSE is not recognized, but the certificates provided by the both the board are valid world-wide. - In ICSE board the internal assessments are more when compared with CBSE which again needs lot of hard work. - The syllabus for CBSE is more suitable for qualifying various entrance exam exam including medical and engineering exam but ICSE is more detailed and need lot of extra hard work. |

You should select the school which you like this time. You can change the school or board any time before class 9. Right now you have more than 8 years to decide which board is better for your child. I don't think after 12 years from today when your child will complete school eduction, she will be getting admission in only and only medical or engineering collage. He/She may have lots of other options. Do whatever is convenient to you right now. Career prospects are changing rapidly. He/She may not have to depend on reserved seats in Gujrat state engineering / medical collages. |

Hello friend .....
GSEB is the state level board of the Gujarat state While CBSE and the ICSE are both the central board of India recognized all over India . All the board are equally good at their own place . If you want your child to learn the Gujarati language then you can make him or her study from the GSEB board .... The CBSE board is both in the hindi and english while ICSE board is only in the English language .. The CBSE board is recognized by the government of India .... So according to me CBSE board is the best to be studies because it is accepted all over India and also student studying through this board gain more knowledge as their syllabus is designed in such a way .... |

The three boards have their own positives and negatives. The states boards are usually considered as easy ones for the students to study. If you want to give your child a state focused education, then yes GSEB will be better than CBSE and ICSE. CBSE is national board. The advantage of studying in a CBSE school is that the child gets a wider perspective of education. The same syllabus is followed in all the CBSE schools, so you child can compete with the rest of the crowd. CBSE syllabus gives the student appropriate knowledge required for them to compete with the rest of the students in state and national level competitions. ICSE is considered as the toughest of the lot. Its mode of operation is all the same as the CBSE schools. The major difference is in their syllabus. ICSE syllabus equips the students to go in depth in what ever they learn. So if you are comparing the 3, if you need you child to have a good in depth knowledge, then choose ICSE. If you want you child to have the knowledge as well the easiness to study and pick up then it is CBSE that you have to choose.

it is better to choose cbse as most of the competetive exams will have syllabus of this board only.
the certificate provided by cbse is valid everywhere. here the concepts are a bit tough compared to any state board as they provide complete information about the topic. coming to icse it as also a good choice. in icse also we have curriculum almost comparable with cbse but comparitively cbse is more suitable for any competetive exam than icse. state boards are easy and it is not that suitable for competetive exams like iit jee ,aieee, afme etc so, it is best to choose cbse. |

Dear Candidate,
You should not confuse yourself between the 3 boards. State board will help you in getting jobs in that particular state but the CBSE is a central board so you will be getting jobs throughout the country on the basis of that. The same applies for the selection in colleges around the country. The only reason to prefer the state board is according to the following statistics: Total no of students who gave the CBSE Std XII Exams were 7,70,000 in 2011. You can refer to: http://cbse.nic.in/PRE%20EXAM%20PRESS%20NOTE%202011.pdf There is a 10% increase every year so the year 2012 will have 8,50,000 students, i.e. 30,000 per state on an average for both streams together, out of which students opting for Medical would be approximately 30% or 10000. On the other hand: Total Gujarat Board students appearing in 2012 for Class 12th Exams were 1,12,000 out of which biology stream students were approximately 26,000. Total No of seats in medical in Gujarat are 1900 out of which 50% are reserved. So approximately 1000 seats are open for merit, out of which 100 (10%) is reserved for CBSE quota. Probability for CBSE vs Guj Board student to get admission in Medical is as follows: Assuming % students passing in both boards are nearly equal (@ 70%) CBSE: 100/9000*100 = 1.1% Guj Board: 900/26000*100 = 3.5% Thus, Guj Board student has 3.5 times better chance to get admission in MBBS compared to CBSE student . Best of Luck...!!! |
