A candidate can apply for the Income tax officer examination after the completion of Bachelor degree in any stream. Candidate applying for the post of Income Tax officer should have age between 18 to 27 years.

Sorry friends, there is not any exam for Income Tax Officer.

............ but don't worry, there is a way to be an Income Tax Officer by appearing and qualifying exam of SSC(Staff Selection Commission) Graduate level exam. The SSC recruits Inspector in Income Tax through aforesaid exam. After very next promotion you will be an Income Tax Officer.

A candidate who have completed their Graduation Degree in any Discipline from Recognized Universities are eligible for applying it.....

Final year student can also apply for it.

Age of candidate should be between 20 to 28 years, Relaxation is available for OBC/SC/ST category as per Government Rule.....
