i am in Arts stream. Can I answer NDA?

hi dear,Yes, you can apply for the NDA exam even if you belong to the Arts & Commerce stream but only if you are looking forward to get in the Army wing of NDA.
The eligibility for which remains:
12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University. The maximum age should not cross 19 years on the 1st January or 1st of July of the year succeeding the year of examination...best luck

You can write NDA if you have not crossed 19 years that means if you are not more than 19 years old. And you can also write CDS(common defence service) exam conducted for the army wing of India ,if you have secured 55% marks and want to join the army wing.

No, NDA exam doesn't permit arts students.according to the ellegibility criteria of NDA, only students of science stream having physics,chemistry and maths in class 12th are allowed. also your age must lie in between 16&1/2 to 19 years. for information please visit www.upsc.gov.in

Surely you can appear for the NDA exam. You need to have completed your graduation. You will be eligible to join the army.

NDA is conducted twice every year in the month of april and august.
The eligibility is 10+2 and you should be minimum of 19 yrs.
NDA exams consists of Maths paper, so if you can handle it, then you can clear. But you are eligible to write.

yes off-course you are applicable for writing NDA exam as eligibility for NDA is should be pass 12th class exam.and minimum acceptable hieght for NDA is 157.5 cm
and this exam conduct twice a year in march/April and Oct/November whose notification come in employement newspaper!!

You can apply for Army wing of National Defence Academy :-

Definately Arts Students are eligible for NDA Entrance exams.

So, after 12th you can apply for NDA to join the Indian Army.

But make sure that, The candidate must be an unmarried male and have attained the age of 16.5 years and must not have attained the age 19 years.

Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to National Defence Academy -

- The minimum acceptable height is 157.5 cms.

- The candidate must be in good physical and mental health and free from any diseases.

- Fully expanded chest should not be less than 81 cms.


So, dont worry, you are eligible for appear in NDA examination to join Indian Army. So please work hard, definately you will get sucess.

Arts students are not eligiable for NDA exam.

as the criteria which is required for NDA exam is 12th with PCM combination. and 60% marks in 12th.

hello friend,yes you can answer NDA exam because the education eligibility is 10+2 or equivalent exam for army wing and for air force and naval wing 10+2 (executive branch) with physics and mathematics.candidate who are in class 12 also apply for this examination.

but make sure the candidate must be unmarried mail

hight should be atleast 157.5 cm

the candidate must be free from any desease ,mut be physically fit haveing chest not less than than 81 cm

Yes you are eligible for the NDA exam if your marks is 55% in 12th. If you are interested in the NDA then apply for this exam. You must have physical fitness and height about 157.5 cm.

in defense academy and army wing......

ELIGIBILITY FOR DEFENSE ACADEMY

>> you should be 12th with 60% in PCM stream
>> your age should be between 16 1/2 - 19 years...

>> you should be 12th with minimum 60% in any stream
>> age must be between 16 1/2- 19 years

as you are an arts student so you can apply for NDA exam in army wing....

As you are a arts student, hence you can apply for only military wing of the indian army.NDA exam is conducted by UPSC (union public service commission) every year for two times in the months of january & august .

1.for appear in this exam you must have to complete your 12th from a recognized board.

2.the age limit for this exam is 16.5-19.

3.your nationality must be indian .

4.you must possess marital status unmarried.

5.girls are not eligible for this examination.

I am really sorry to inform you that an Arts student is not eligible to sit for the NDA exam.

NDA - National Defense Academy is an exam conducted by the UPSC to select candidates for the Indian Army, Air Force and Naval wings.

The eligibility criteria's for the NDA are :

1. Only unmarried male candidates can apply and their ages should be within 16.5 to 19 years.

2. Candidates must have studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subject if applying for the Air Force and Naval wings.

3. They should be a minimum 12th pass from a recognized board and school with a minimum 50% aggregate in it.

So as you see, only science stream students are eligible to apply for it.
