Dear friend ,

There is no future for arts student in NDA.

Arts students can't appear in NDA as its criteria need their student to have Physics and Maths as a main subject.

So, you are not eligible.

Best wishes!!!!!!!!!

Hi

The arts student can apply for the NDA in army wing. But you can apply for the National Defence Academy exam only when you have completed your 10+2 or appeared in 10+2 exams. You are not eligible for the NDA exam in your XI standard.

The eligibility criteria for the NDA exam is mentioned below. Since you can apply for the Army only because Air force and navy wants physics and maths. So you can only apply for the Army. So I have only write the eligibility criteria needed for the Army.

Education Qualification:

The minimum education qualification is 10+2 passed or 10+2 appeared student can also apply.

Age limit:
16½ - 19 years
Only unmarried male candidates can apply for this exam married candidates are not eligible for this exam.

Height:
The minimum height required for the NDA exam is 157.5cm.

GOOD LUCK

Hi, yes of course you can. You can apply through NDA and join Army wing. And let me tell you, in NDA you basically become a graduate, and Arts is a subject offered there i.e. B.A is offered.

So don't be mislead by wrong information. Best of luck. Feel free to ask if doubts remain.

Arts students can apply for NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY(NDA) examination, which is conducted by UPSC every year for two times.
as you are a arts student , you can not apply for naval & air force wing of indian army. but you are eligible for military wing of the india.

the age limit for this exam is 16.5-19.there is nothing about any age relaxation for any scheduled candidates.
you must have to complete your 12th from a recognized board.
only unmarried males can apply for this exam.

thanks

Hi

I am really sorry to inform you that an arts stream student is not eligible to apply for the NDA exam.

NDA stands for the National Defense Academy and it is an exam which is conducted by the UPSC, to select men for the Indian Air Force, Army and Navy wings.

The eligibility conditions put up by UPSC for this exam is :

1. Only unmarried male candidates can apply whose age should be within 16.5 to 19 years.

2. Also they should be science students with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects for the Air Force and Navy.

3. Also a minimum 50% aggregate in 12th boards is required.

So Since you are from arts stream you are not eligible for any of the fighting wings of our defense. You can apply for office jobs later on through CDS, UPSC, and similar examinations.

For any other information, Please Click Here to visit the official website of the UPSC.

All the best

Regards

Arts student can join NDA but not after 11th standard but after 12th standard provided they fulfill all eligibility criteria.

NDA - National Defence Academy, the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year to join Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

The candidate from Arts stream should have studied Mathematics in 12th and is eligible to apply for Indian Army of NDA. The candidate having Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 12th, is illegible to apply for all the three wings of NDA.

Apart from this, the eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental health, can apply for NDA.
