The students having Bachelor’s degree with at least one of the subjects namely, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Forestry or Engineering of a recognised university or equivalent, can appear in exam.

Candidates appearing at their degree examination (with prescribed subjects) are also eligible to compete. Candidates qualifying on the result of the written part of the examination will be required to submit the proof of passing the requisite examination along with their detailed application form to be filled up at that stage.

I have done my graduation in biotechnology..but I had my subjects as zoology, botany, biochemistry..am I eligible for the ifs exam???

IFS stands for Indian Forest Service.This exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year once.

Physical Criteria for IFS Exam:-

For men:-

1. Min. height- 165cm and 5cm relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
2. Weight should be suitable with height.
3. Chest- 84cm (min) and 5cm relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates.

For women:-

1. Height - min. 150cm and 5cm relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
2. Weight should be suitable with height.
3. Chest- min.79cm and 5cm relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates.

The Union Public Service Commission [UPSC] conducts the Indian Forest Services Examination every year.

The Eligibility Criteria for IFS Exam are :

## Educational Qualifications :

* The candidate must have completed graduation any one of these subjects : Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Chemistry, Botany, Geology, Physics, Mathematics,, Statistics and Zoology from any recognized college/university.

* Candidates in final year of graduation can also appear for this exam.

* The Age Limit :

1) For General Candidates : 21-30 yrs

2) For OBC Candidates : 21-33 yrs

3) For SC/ST Candidates : 21-35 yrs

* Nationality : Indian

* Number Of Attempts :

a) For General Candidates : 4

b) For OBC Candidate : 7

c) For SC/ST Candidates : No Limitations

So , As you have completed graduation in Biotechnology , you can appear for the Indian Forest Services Exam.

I have completed my bsc in biotechnology and had subjects like horticulture and biotechnology in last year but in 2nd year had botany and biotechnology so am I eligible to appear for Indian Forest Service exam

I have completed my bsc in biotechnology and had subject like biostatistics and cell biology in 1st year and in 2nd year advanced biotechnology so I am eligible to appear for IFS??
