IES Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications : Degree in : • Electrical Engineering • Electronics & Communications Engineering • Civil Engineering • Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree from recognized universities. • M.Sc. degree or equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject is also acceptable for certain posts. yes you are eligible for IES ..but you need to choose ECE as option for writing exam... so there is no percentage is required only pass out of final student are enough.. Age Limits : Not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years |

students with graduation degree of electronics n comunication engineering, electrical engg.,civil and mechanical engg. are permitted to appear for IES exam. you can give the exam by mentioning your branch of graduation as electronics n communication.. no criteria of marks is required,, only your graduation degree is needed.... one thing to mention that the age limit is 21-30 years..

yes you are eligible to give this exam. but you give IES exam as below subject:-- * Electrical engg * Electronics & telecommunication *Civil engg. *Mechanical engg. if you able to give above one subject then you give this exam. for this exam no percentage is require. |

yes ,
you are eligible. Though you do not get your exact stream in IES exam. But, its good that you have a related subject to electronics so that you can easily choose electrical or electronics as your option for IES. For understanding i am stating Subjects available : 1. Electrical Engineering 2. Electronics & telecommunication 3. Civil 4. Mechanical Eligiblity Criterion: you require a graduation degree in engineering ,even M.Sc degree or equivalent passed out from a recognized institute.An age limit of 21 to 30 yrs ,relaxed to some extent for SC/ST and OBC candidates. |

as you are from Electronics and instrumentation engineering then you can apply for IES exam... One must have bachelor degree in any of the following stream- Electronics Electrical Mechanical Civil then he/she can apply for IES exam.. It is conducted by UPSC.. after clearing the exam you will get a administrative job.. Age criteria- Your age should be in between 21-30 years... there is a age relaxation for SC/ST, OBC.. For SC/ST 5years, and for OBC 3 years.. so, if you fulfill the criteria then you can apply for IES exam.. All the best.. |

UPSC Indian Engineering Services (IES) Examination - Eligibility Conditions 1.Minimum Educational Qualification: For admission to the examination, a candidate must have— (a) obtained a degree in Engineering from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as Universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; or (b) passed Section A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India); or (c) obtained a degree/diploma in Engineering from such foreign University/College/Institution and under such conditions as may be recognised by the Government for the purpose from time to time, or (d) passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India); or (e) passed Associate Membership Examination Parts II and III/Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India; or (f) passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London held after November, 1959. Provided that a candidate for the post of Indian Naval Armament Service (Electronics Engineering Posts and Engineer Group 'A' in Wireless Planning and Coordination Wing/Monitoring Organisation) may possess any of the above qualifications or the qualification mentioned below namely:- M.Sc. degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject. 2.Age Limits: (a) A candidate for this examination must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on the 1st August, of the current year (b) The upper age-limit of 30 years will be relaxable upto 35 years in the case of Government servants of the following categories, if they are employed in a Department/Office under the control of any of the authorities mentioned in column 1 below and apply for admission to the examination for all or any of the Service(s)/Posts mentioned in column 2, for which they are otherwise eligible. |

Dear ,though you are eligible for IES but you have to choose ECE as option for writing exam and there is no percentage is required only pass out of final student are enough.

yes you can very well apply for IES exam.
IES(indian engineering services)exam is conducted by UPSC for engineers. it is conducted once in every year. eligibility of IES exam in terms of academic qualification is a bachelors degree in engineering with any of the following major stream: Electrical Engineering Electronics and telecommunications Engineering civil Engineering Mechanical Engineering As your stream of engineering is electronics and instrumentation you are eligible to apply for IES exam. all the best |

Yes, as you mentioned Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering candidate can apply for IES exam. The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final B.Tech. Degree exam or pass in any stream of Engineering from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate. The selection is through written exam based on the subject branch of Engineering from Civil/Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics & Telecommunication followed by Personal Interview.
