sir/madam, i am 28 years old and want to know whether i can appear for ias exams i am an engineering graduate and belong to general category and am a female candidate. please let me know whether i can sit for this exam. meena.

Yes you can appear for IAS exam. Because both are male and female
appicable.

Eligibility for IAS:- candidates have passed graduation in any streams are
qualified for the Civil Service exam.

Age:- They should be age 21 years or above, but should not exceed 30 years
of age (Upper age limit relaxable for SCs/STs, OBCs).

In addition,candidates are required to be Indian citizens.

Attempts :-for genrel 4 attempts
for OBCs 7 attemps and no limit for SCs/STs.

UPSC conducts the exam to find out the right aspirant. The aspirants must have a thorough knowledge about the current affairs.

Yes,you can sit for this Exam.Both the male and female candidates are Eligible.

Both Candidates have a same Eligibility Criteria.

Any graduate candidates can Apply for Civil Service Examination and there is no Specific Graduation.

The Age should between 21 - 30 Yrs of age at the time Appearing.

Maximum 4 Attempts for General candidates.

So,According to the Eligibility Criteria,you are Eligible for Civil Service Examination.

Civil Service Examination Consist of three Levels.

• Preliminary
• Main
• Interview.

You must clear the all the levels of Civil Service Examination to become IAS Officer.

The minimum eligibilities for joining the Indian Army is as follows:-

-> The minimum educational qualification required is to be a graduate in any field.

-> Age limitation is between 21-30 years with 5 years relaxation for the SC/ST and 3 years for the OBC category.

-> You need to first clear the CSAT i.e. civil services aptitude test in order to clear the mains exam.

-> General category get 4 while SC/ST get unlimited and OBC get 7 attempts to clear the exam.

1.What is the fee structure to appear for IAS exam ?

2.Do we have to pay money after completing the IAS exam ?

Both are male and female appicable for IAS so,you can appear for IAS exam.

We have relaxation in age limit in CSAT exam based on category but not any special relaxation for female...


Age limit for civil service exam is:

General category:
candidate must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination.

SC/ST:
up to a maximum of 5 years.

OBC:
up to a maximum of 3 years.

A general candidate can attempt Four times only.Where as Seven attempts of OBCs. And no limit for SCs/STs.

Minimum education criteria = Graduate

gender is not a criteria for getting into IAS

Since you fulfill all the required criteria, then you can apply for IAS.
In IAS, there is no gender factor, both boys and girls can apply.

IAS exam is a civil service exam which is conducted by UPSC every year..

The eligibility criteria for IAS exam-

Educational qualification-
One must have complete the graduation in any field..
One can also appear in IAS exam when he/she is in final year of the graduation.

Age criteria-
For general category - Min age-21years.. and Max.age-30years.

Nationality-
The candidate should have citizenship of India.

As your age is 28years, and you have already done your graduation , so you can apply for IAS exam.

Age Limit Criteria to appear in IAS examination are as follows

The main thing a IAS aspirant must have is minimum age requirement that is 21 years.

After obtaining 21 years only he/She is said to be eligible for the CSE(Civil Service Examination) which is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission)

As far now we have discussed about minimum age now about max age limit in this regard there is separation for Reserved Categories and Unreserved Categories

For general Categories the max age limit is 30
for Reserved Categories

OBC Candidates are relaxed upto 33 years

SC/ST Candidates are relaxed upto 35 years of age

This is all about Required Age criterion for a Civil Aspirant.

Yes girls can appear for Civil services and can become IAS,IPS if they satisfy the
eligibility criteria for the exam.

the candiadate must be completed graduation from UGC approved college.
your minimum age should be 21 years and maximum age is 30 years.

age relaxation is there for SC/ST/OBC candidate.
