hello mam/sir i am harika kochhar a girl 16 years old studying in 12th science & i am quite interested in joining nda.i want to know if i am eligible fr the xam as this can be my 1st step to join indian air force.please reply me soon

girls cannot join nda exam is conducted by union public service commission (upse) ,
but girls can have a great opportunity in army as technical graduate ,
now your question will be how we can join army??
the answer is upsc is having technical graduate scheme and NCC direct entry scheme .

technical graduate:-
after your graduation in respective field
as
electronics engineering field
electrical engineering field
mechanical field
civil field
architecture
communication/telecommunication etc

you are eligible for direct entry scheme for joining army

NCC direct entry scheme:-
if you are having ncc 'c' certificate in respective 'army','air force',and'navy' you will be eligible for joining army

after you been eligible for direct entry scheme, you need to fill forms for respective entry
and then you will face SSB that is service selection board in which you will face interview, various officers will scan you to the most in the interview, task and other tests like psychology test etc

if your are selected here
you will be gone through MEDICAL and den you will wait for you merit lest to come...

if you are in the list..
now you are the officer in ARMY

Surely you can join NDA there are field in which girls are also allowed.
As girls are also taking interest in defence field is good for future.

sorry but girls are not allowed to sit in nda exam. only unmarried male candidate with pcm in 12th are allowed. hard luck.

Till now there is no any rule that girls can also appear for NDA. So for you it would be better to give CDS exam after gradaution.
through SSC (Short Service Commision ) you can get entry.
Also you can join army through medical staff

girls are not supposed to join NDA,but you can join in the short term service or the officers academy after completing your respected degree.

NDA is for boys only miss harika ;but not all hope should be lost ! you CAN join the army by WOMEN'S SPECIAL ENTRY/ DIRECT RECRUITMENT ; requirement is a first class graduate IN ANY STREAM ...for more information please check out the following link -

First i appreciate your feeling towards NDA, but sorry to say that you are not eligible for NDA.

Only unmarried male of age 16(1/2)-19 are eligible for NDA.

But you can join Indian Army as a SSC(short service commision) after your graduation degree.

Sorry but girls cannot give NDA examination, the NDA examination is only for boys.

U can join Indian Airforce after completing ur graduation from a recognised university.

SSC is the examination for women i.e short service comission, through this u can join Indian Airforce.

i am ver sorry to say that girls are not eligible for the NDA exam.But if you are interested in joining the armed forces then You can join it through following scheme:

1.SSCW(T): short service commission women(Tech),for this scheme , advertisement

comes in weekly news paper named employment news,keep in touch with this news

paper. In this, entry scheme you will be called for direct SSB interview,after qualifying

in SSB you will be commissioned as Officer in the army.

2.SSCW(PG- post graduate):for this scheme , advertisement also

comes in weekly news paper named employment news,keep in touch with this news

paper .In this entry scheme, after passing MTech you will be called for direct SSB

interview,after qualifying in SSB you will be commissioned as Officer in the army.

3.JAG( Judge advocate general) - To join army through this scheme , you have to pass

LLB.After passing, you you have to fill application form for this entry scheme.

Then you will be called for direct interview.After qualifying this you have to face SSB.

4.SSCW(PG) - To join army through this scheme , you have to pass

PG.After passing, you you have to fill application form for this entry scheme.

Then you will be called for direct interview.After qualifying this you have to face SSB.

After clearing SSB you will become army officer.

Sorry there is no entry for girl candidate through NDA.

Only male candidates are allowed for NDA examination.

If you have keen desire to join defence forces then i would suggest you first complete you graduation then only you are eligible for any entry scheme for women candidate in defence forces.

So, don't loose your hope you can join defence after your graduation.

Why girls can't join nda?

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible,whose age and qualification are fulfill with below mentioned criteria.

Eligibility criteria for NDA exam:

12th standard with maths,physic and chemistry subjects in Recognized University.
Age should be between 16 1/2 to 19 years.

So you are not eligible for NDA exam,if you are interested,you can try after your graduation course by appearing CDS exam.

No, Girls Can Not Apply for NDA Examination !

Its Only for Boys. But You Can Join The Army By Women Special Entry Or Through CDS Examination.

And For this You Have To Complete Your Graduation With Atleast 60% Marks. Only then You Can Apply for SSC, If You Have Clear the SSC Interview, Then You Will Get Chance To Join Army.

You Can Also Apply for Combined Defence Services Examination, Which is Conducted twice a Year by UPSC. So, If You Are Interested, Then You Can Only Apply for Officers Training Academy.

Eligiblity Creteria For CDS -

• Graduation Degree or Equivalent from a Recognized University.
• And Your Age Should Between 18 to 24 Years.

But The CDS Exams Was Already Over On 13/Feb/2011.

So, the CDS II Exams Notification Was Not Declared, And It Was Declared On 30/April/2011 On the Official Website Of UPSC.

The Exams Was Held On 18/Sept/2011.

Is NDA Meant For Girls A big Quetion Mark ??

NDA i.e National Defense Academy Exam is not written by Girls because Girls are Not Eligible for writing this.

NDA is only Meant for Boys. Girls become More Responsible only after completing their graduation Or any degree.

if girls wants to join indian Army then they can but Not after 12th they need to Go for further studies.

After Graduation you have ample number of Entries like

I) CDSE i.e Combined Defense Service Exam , need Girls/Guy with any Degree from recognized university for Indian Army.

If they want to join Indian Air force then they need to have Physics Or maths as a subject in their Graduation.

II) UES i.e University Entry Scheme , Final year Engineering Students are Eligible for this.

III) SSC Technical Only Final year Engineering Students are Eligible For this.

So, i do suggest you to Go for Engineering Degree to make your self Eligible for Every Entry..

NO, girls are not eligible for writing NDA as because this exam is only for boys having age limit 16.1/2 to 19 years. must passed 12th with 60% marks.

However, girls can joins some of the post as CDSE, SSE which are apply after the graduation. A candidate must complete graduation/Engineering with at least 60% marks and the age limit will be 18 to 24 years.
So sorry for NDA, you can get special entry in defense by UES, CDSE, SSC..etc.

No girls can not join NDA at all.

As per eligibility criteria of NDA:

Only unmarried male candidate and have attained the age of 16 1/2 years and must not have attained the age 19 years on the 1st January or 1st of July of the year succeeding the year of examination.

Candidates must not marry until they complete their full training. A candidate who marries subsequent to the date of his application, though successful will not be selected for training.

A candidate who marries during training shall be discharged and will be liable to refund all expenditure incurred on him by the Government.

But girls can join Defense services through CDSE and they can get SSC (short service commission)

In IAF they can join through AFCAT.

Can Girls Join NDA?

No girls are not eligible to apply for the NDA examination. Only male candidates
are eligible to apply for the NDA examination. NDA examination is conducted
twice in a year. This exam is conducted by the UPSC.
To apply for this examination a candidate should be 10+2 pass in any discipline.
Those appeared in the 10+2 examination are also eligible to apply for the NDA examination.

For the NDA examination candidate age should be between 16.5 to 19 years.

Since this entry scheme is only for the male candidates so you are not eligible to apply for the NDA examination.
If you are interested in Indian Defence then you can you as an officer after the completion of your graduation through CDS entry scheme.

Sorry to say girls can not join NDA...Only male candidates are eligible for NDA......

This is option is not open to girls. They are not allowed to take the NDA test. But you do have another option to enter the army. Since you are a graduate you can apply through the OTA. For that you need to clear the Short Service Commission exam. Earlier this option was restricted to men.This is the only option by women can enter the army. CDSE conducts this exam. You can appear for it after you turn 21 years. In the mean time you should start preparing for the same. You can collect all the information regarding the same from the official website.

female candidates are not eligible for NDA. Only unmaried male candidate , whose age and educational qulification are satisfied with UPSC requred eligiblity , are elegible for NDA.

If you are very intrested to joine Army than you can sit for CDS or SSC after compliting your graduation degree.

Also now you can join Army as medical staff.
