What is the eligibility for girls to join in NDA?

I am very sorry to say you that Girls are not eligible for NDA(National Defence Academy). Only unmarried Male candidates are eligible for NDA. I am providing you the complete eligibility criteria of NDA:

• Only unmarried male candidates are allowed
• Must be an Indian
• Age- 16.5 to 19 years
• Must have either passed or appearing in class 12th exam with Physics ,chemistry and Maths
• This exam is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) and you can get details from the official website of upsc that is http://www.upsc.gov.in

If you really want to join indian army then you can join after completing your graduation.

NDA stands for National Defence Academy and is conducted by the upsc twice a year.
The Basic eligibility criteria are as follows :

(1)Only Unmarried Male candidate are allowed.

(2) Educational qualification
Generally 12th pass with mathematics ,physics and chemistry from a recognized board or university.

(3)Age Criteria
candidate having age between 16.5 to 19 years are allowed

Girls are not eligible . Because the training given to successfull NDA candidates are very tough,Girls are not allowed for the NDA but they can join either Indian Army,Indian Navy,Indian Air Force through various technical and non technical SSC.

only male candidate are allow for the NDA exam those have the following eligibility criteria.


>>minimum 12th appearing/completed in science with PCM subjects combination Male candidate.

>>minimum 60% marks in class 12th exam. also 60% marks in PCM subjects.

>>age limit 16.5-19 years.

>>minimum height 165cm.

after qualifying the following criteria you will be eligiable for the NDA-I exam.

then after you have to give SSB exam.

i m really very sorry but NDA is meant only for males..the criterion for NDA selection is that the age limit should be between 16.5-19 years n should be a non-married male..
but if you want to join the armed forces then you can give other exams after your graduation like
CDSE
SSB technical
SSB non technical,etc

Eligibility for NDA exam:-

1.Candidate must have complete the 12th in any trade with 60% aggregate from a recognized central/state board..

2.The age should be in between 16.5-19 years.

3.Candidate must be male and unmarried.

So, you are not eligible..
But if you really want to join in defense then you can complete your graduation first after that you can join in defense through OTA (officers training academy)scheme..

NDA (National Defence Academy) is one of the platforms through which you can express your indomitable spirit for your own country India.

Eligibility for Indian Army :
1:You should pass 12(10+2)th or its equivalent from State Board / Universities. you can also apply as appearing for 12th examination.

2:Marital Status:Unmarried

3:Sex :Male.

4:Age Limit : Between 16.5 and 19.

5:Nationality:
You have to be A citizen of India, or
subject of Bhutan, or
subject of Nepal, or
Tibetan refugee .

According to NDA Eligibility criteria girls are not eligible.


The UPSC (NDA) exam is conducted twice a year (April and October.

Selection Procedure: National Defence Academy selects the candidates in three phases :

i)A written examination by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC).

ii)An interview by the Service Selection Board(SSC) to check the potentialities Intelligence and personality.

ii)A medical examination by a Service Medical Board(SMB).

The written examination is of two papers of all objective type questions.

i)Mathematics of 2.5 hours maximum number 300 including Arithmetic, Mensuration, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics.

ii)General Ability test of 2.5 hours maximum number 600 including General English, General Knowledge,Physics,Chemistry,General Science,History,Freedom Movement,Geography,Current Event

After clearing the written exam you will be called for a five-day interview process with the State Selection Board (SSB) which is the final step of selection.

On completion of the NDA course, you are sent to the respective service academies for your pre- commission training.


Important dates/schedule of NDA-II exam-2011:

Date of notification of NDA exam- : 5th May , 2012

Last Date for Receipt of Applications either by hand or by Post/Speed Post or by Courier : 4th June , 2012

Date of Examination : 19th August, 2012.

Sorry, girls cannot apply for NDA as they are a little bit weaker in the physical requirements as compared to male candidates.
They can apply for CDS examination to join Defence Services.

According to the eligibility criteria of NDA Girls are not eligible to apply for this exam.

As this exam is only for the Unmarried male candidates. The male candidates who have passed the 10+2 exam or has appeared in the 12th board exam are only eligible.

But girls can apply for the various defence services through CDS and UES exam.

If you are studying or want to study the engineering then you may apply through University entry Scheme(UES) or through Combined defence Service examination (CDSE).

Sorry to say but there is no eligibility criteria for girls to appear in NDA exam . This is because NDA exam conducted by UPSC , is only applicable for unmarried males.

Just after completing high school examination, indian army entrance scheme is
NDA (national defence academy),
but the exam is only for male cadets.
Don't worry, during graduation you will have opportunities
to get in indian air force via three schemes-
*UES- university entry scheme.
*SSC- short service commission.
*CDS-combined defence services.
Generally there are three branches in air force-
1. Flying branch
2. Technical branch.
3. Ground duty branch.
* For flying branch- CDS exam, NCC special entry
SSC (only for 14yr./maths background)

NDA (National Defence Academy) ,an exam will conducted by Union Public Service Commission.Those candidtes who have yet to qualify in the 12th class exam or eqivalent exam are allowed to appear the exam but The Women candidates can't join the NDA after 12th exam because Only the Unmarried male candidates are eligible for NDA.
