Can I appear in JEE Main 2016 from NIOS board?


Sir, I have passed 12th exam from CBSE Board with 82% in the year 2015. Now I am appearing in 2016 from NIOS Board for improve of my 12th percentage. Can I appeared in JEE Main 2016 from NIOS Board.

NIOS is National Institute of Open Schooling and is recognized by Government of India for secondary and higher secondary level examination. Candidate pursuing 10+2 board exam from this board are eligible for Joint Entrance Examination.

You can also apply from CBSE board as your percentage of marks is good, 82% is not bad for JEE exam.

Last date to apply for JEE Main 2016 is 31st December, 2015.

To be eligible to appear in JEE Main 2016 examination, the candidate must have completed 12th standard with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry subjects from a recognised board. Candidates who are going to complete in 12th standard in 2016 or those who have completed 12th standard in 2014 or 2015 are eligible to appear in JEE Main 2016 examination. Since, you have completed your 12th standard from NIOS Board, you are eligible to appear in JEE Main 2016 examination.

Yes, you are eligible to appear for JEE examination. JEE examination is conducted for admission of candidates in B.tech/B.E courses.

NIOS is a recognised board and to appear for JEE examination the required eligibility is :-

* Candidates must have passed or pursuing in 10+2 from recognised board.

* Candidates must have PCM as main paper.

So, you are eligible to appear for examination through NIOS board. The application form for 2016 examination is available now. To get more information about examination visit at www.jeemain.nic.in.

Eligibility Criteria for JEE Mains and Advanced:

A candidate must have done 12th from recognized board with at least 50% marks with non medical stream.

Age 17-25 years.

Forms will filled by online mode only.

NIOS is recognized board and hence you can appear in the test.

Yes.You can appear for JEE Main 2016 after completion of 12th class from NIOS board.

Eligibility
- You must have passed (10+2) in science stream with atleast 5 subjects & 50% in core subjects Physics , Chemistry and Maths.
- You must have passed 12th class exam in the year 2014 or 2015 to appear JEE Main 2016.
- Your age must be less than 25 years on 31st October of the examination year.Reservation applicable 5 years for SC/ST categories.

Exam Pattern
- Total Questions : 90
- Total Marks : 360
- Questions will be MCQ types

Important Dates
- Registration Starts : 01/12/2015
- Last Date to Apply : 31/12/2015
- Release Admit-Cards : 1st Week of March , 2016
- JEE Main Offline Exam : 03/04/2016
- JEE Main Online Exam : 9th & 10th April , 2016
- Counselling Starts : In July , 2016

I got 71% in cbse board . And i want to improve the board percentage from nios board for jee mains exam .
