yes, you can apply but it would be better if you apply through the CDSE examination which takes candidate only after graduation. As you are commerce student NDA will be little difficult for those not belong to science stream.
CDSE ELIGIBILITY • Unmarried Male Candidates • Age : 19 to 23 Years- ( Age limit may vary for Army -Navy and Air Force) • Graduate in any discipline for Army • Science back ground is must for Navy and Air Force. • Should be a citizen of India. • Physically fit. NDA exam is a defense service exam , which is conducted by UPSC twice in every year.. Eligibility for NDA exam:- For Indian Army wing:- 1.Candidate has to complete the 12th in any trade from a recognized central or state education board.. 2.Candidate who is appearing for 12th class board exam can also apply for NDA exam. 3.Candidates age should be in between 16.5-19 years. 4.Candidate must be a citizen of India. 5.Candidate should be unmarried male. For Air force and Navy wing:- 1.Candidate has to complete the 12th in science field having subjects like- Physics, chemistry and maths.. 2.Candidate who is appearing for 12th class board exam can also apply for NDA exam. 3.Age should be in between 16.5-19 years. 4.Candidate must be a citizen of India. 5.Candidate should be unmarried male.. These are the eligibility criteria you have to fulfill. As you have done 12th in commerce field then you can apply for Indian Army wing.. So, go for it.. All the best. |

Yes you are eligible to apply for NDA.
NDA - NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY exam conducted by UOSC twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II for entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wings of NDA. Those candidate who are unmarried Indian male within the age group of 16.5 to 19 years of age having either appeared for final 12th exam or passed from any stream from a recognised Central/State Board are eligible to apply for NDA. As you are from Commerce stream you can apply for the Indian Army wing of NDA only as for Indian Navy and Airforce wings of NDA one should have passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Yes, you are eligible for NDA Examination. But you are not eligible to join for Indian Navy and Indian Air Force because these examinations only for Science stream candidates.
NDA stands for National Defense Academy.NDA Examination are conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) twice in a year. NDA Examination is conducted in 3 wings: • Indian Army • Indian Navy • Indian Air Force Eligibility Criteria: >>> The candidate must have to pass 12th class from a recognized university. >>> And the final year of 12th class students also to apply for this NDA Examination. >>> The age limit in between 16.5 to 19 years. >>> The candidate must be single and medically fit. >>> The candidate must be citizen of India. The NDA I Examination 2012 date is published and you can apply this exam. At first I have mentioned the eligible criteria for N.D.A. You can also apply for N.D.A. There generally two examination are held for N.D.A., one is N.D.A. - 1 and another is N.D.A. - 2.You can also attempt both this two exam. Eligibility Criteria :- 1. Age :: 19 to 23 years as on 01 july 2012 i.e. born between 2nd july 1989 to 1 July 1993(both dates inclusive). 2. Educational Qualification :: Graduates in any discipline from a recognized university having 60% or more than 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have passed 10+2 th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or BE/B.Tech degree from a recognized university having 60% or more than 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together. 3. Physical Standard :: i.) Height : minimum 162.5 cm and more than this ii.) Weight : in between 60 to 80 kg iii.) Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics is a must to apply for NDA.
The eligibility criteria for NDA is given below : 1. The candidate must be an Indian. 2. The candidate must have passed the 12th class examination or any equivalent examination with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate with physics, chemistry and mathematics. 3. It mainly consists of three wings namely : 1. Indian Air Force 2. Indian Army 3. Indian Navy Being a commerce candidate, you can apply only for the Indian Army wing.
