Re: Can I become Indian Navy Officer by carrying low mark in English?
As far as you are concerned about becoming officer in Indian Navy officer then for that you need to either qualify NDA ( National Defense Academy ) entrance examination or CDS ( Combined Defense Services ) entrance examination.
As you have mentioned that you are Class 12th passed candidate then in that you can become officer by qualifying NDA entrance examination. Further for joining Indian Navy through NDA entrance examination the minimum educational qualification required is a higher secondary school degree with Physics and Mathematics as main subjects from a recognized board of education. There is no minimum requirement of marks in any subject or overall in the degree. So having secured 41 marks in English at matriculation level and 81 marks in the same at higher secondary school degree level you are eligible for appearing in NDA entrance examination to join Indian Navy as a commissioned officer if you satisfy other requirements. NDA is National Defence Academy entrance exam. It is conducted by Union Public Service Commission. You must have Physics and Mathematics in 12th. Age criteria is 16.5 to 19.5 years. Only unmarried male candidates can apply for this examination. |
