Hello Sir, My name is Anandhu, I am a BA English Literature student from Kerala University. I want to know that, am I eligible to join the Indian Navy after completing BA in English Literature? Please answer as soon as possible.

After completion of B.A in English, you are not eligible for Indian Navy exam. Indian Navy exam is conducted by UPSC through CDS exam.

CDS stands for Combined Defence Service exam.

Eligibility criteria:-

Indian Naval Academy: You should have completed engineering graduation or B.Sc with physics, mathematics subjects from a recognized university.

Age Criteria:-

Naval Academy: - 19 to 22 Years

No, you are not eligible to join Indian Navy being a student of B.A. in English Literature. Candidates who have completed their bachelor's degree in engineering or studied science with physics and mathematics from a recognized college/university are eligible to apply for Indian Navy.

But before applying you have to appear for CDS (Combined Defense Services) examination. So, if you score good marks in the examination then you will become eligible to join Indian Navy.
