Hi fiends, i am interested in doing diploma in engineering after 10th so i wanted to know what r all the engineering course available and what r all the non-engineering course. i'm asking this why because i have discontinued my studies for last 1 year.

It depends on his marks....
if he has good marks in 10th std..
go for 12th studies(if he wishes)
orelse do diploma in good college like psg,government diploma college,etc....
then he continue with engineering in top colleges like MIT,PSG...

I say go for the degree as soon as possible. The better branch of engineering would be the branch which interests your son the most. This will provide additional motivation.

There are two ways to do an automobile engineering
1. After 10th go for 3 year diploma in automobile engineering and which will make him eligible for a 3 year degree course in Automobile engineering.
2. After 12th one can join a 4 year Degree course in Automobile engineering.
please be informed that the Degree course is a 4 year course and if your son follows the first option he will be eligible for direct admission into second year.

Automobile Engineering is itself a branch of engineering and it has no sub branch

my suggestion- Degree after 12th
Reason:-
1. Only diploma has no more values now .
2. So, u have 2 option:-
a) 2 yr in 12th + 4 yr in Degree(B.Tech); or
b)3yr in diploma + 3 yr in Degree (since after diploma, one directly gets admission in 2nd yr in degree)
Anyway u have to spend 6 yrs, "but after joining the company,
At the time of promotion n other competition , diploma people get less previlage than 12th "- This is a fact!

yes,you can do diploma in engg. after 10th from a good college.after 10th there are so many entrance exams conducts like poly-10,poly-40.you have to appear in these exams and have good rank.if you have a very good marks in 10th exam,you will also take admission in a good college.

Yes you can enroll for 4 years long Diploma in Pharmacy offered by government Rcognised Polytechnics of different state. Admission will be based on State level Entrance which are generally held for admission into various diploma engineering programs at all state polytechnics.

It would be better if both of you have provided us more details like- from which state you belongs, so that I can explain the whole prosedure for that.

The discontinuation in the studies wont affect your career to join the diploma in engineering and you can opt for the electronics and communication, electrical and mechanical or civil engg to get good jobs and this can help to join the B.E lateral entry (Direct 2nd year).

Ofcourse there are many universities which offer diploma courses in engineering after 10th standard. Diploma courses are available in engineering streams like automobile, civil, electrical, electronics, mechanical and so on. But while choosing courses, please be careful to choose a good one. There are also courses in garmet technology, footwear technology etc.

Yes you can do diploma after 10th. you can go for computer science,information technology,Electronics and communication and Mechanical also. Going for diploma is a good option and there are many colleges to do it. But according to me go for 11th and 12th first then give entrance exam and do b.tech that will be more better,think about this option also.

you can take admissions in various institutes who are offering diploma through entrance exams

But it is always degree that have more value, so you should complete your 12th first and then go for degree

Yes of course why not !

But you will be treated as Provisional candidate for that.

And as we know that for persuing diploma Engineering there is no short cut method for it, Candidate have to crack Poly JEE Entrance which is conducted by state government in different states of India.


However, some Provate or Deemed Universities also conducts there own Entrance for the purpose.

And at this time I dont think that bany institute or State has left for conducting entrance for this year.

However, let me know your state if there must be any possibilities.

yes, no problem you can join a polytechnic college after completing 10 std(SSLC), where you can choose from a variety of branches. Engineering ones i.e., mechanical, computers, electronics, automobile, etc, & non engineering ones like fashion designing, interior decoration, animation, etc. Thats it after diploma either you can join a job, or persue engineering, & if you join b.tech after diploma you will get one year deducted i.e., only 3 years, and further if willing can go for master's i.e., m.tech , for brief details you can discuss this things what i said in any polytechnic college.

Yes, After 10th you can go for any Diploma in Engineering.

Also I would like to suggest u that after the 3 year of diploma you can go for 3 more year of Engg. i.e. you can get the engg. degree also.

all india plytechnic exams are for 10th candidates.
You can enter the engg. Through lateral entry exam for 2nd year direct admission by JEELET.

For that you have to switch to Lateral Entry Scheme.

And in West Bengal Lateral Entry Scheme can be fulfilled only through JELET.

You have to appear for JELET and crack it with good ranking to get admission into 2nd year or 3rd semester of BE/B.Tech.

JELET is conducted generally in the mid of May every year. This year it was conducted in 13 may. And forms are available from March or April.

Have a look on JELET 2010 advertisement, it will provide you some rough idea about it.

u can get direct admission for diploma courses..........

for that entrance exams are held at state levels......

after that u can enter into best colleges.......but remember you have to secure good marks near about 80% in all three year

there are many courses available but if you want to do btech after diploma then it will waste 1 more year of yours. If you do btech after doing 12th you will save 1 year.i am saying this you already have wasted 1 year so it is better not to waste more
