Can I do IAS after completing B.Tech IT ...please give me the details for the same

Educational Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree of a recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Enginerring or an equivalent qualification (Para 3(iii) of Notice).

Age Limits :

A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August, 2012, i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1982 and not later than 1st August, 1991.
The upper age limit prescribed above will be relaxable :

upto a maximum of five years if a candidate belongs to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe.
upto a maximum of three years in the case of candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes who are eligible to avail of reservation applicable to such candidates.

No. of permissible attempts :

Four (Seven attemps of OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs

IAS exam is conducted by UPSC through Civil Service Exam .

Those candidate are graduate from any recognized university with any discipline are eligible for IAS exam.There is not require any kind of Percentage marks for IAS Exam.

B.Tech IT student are applicable for IAS exam.

But your age should be in between 21 to 30 years old.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC category as per govt rule.

The maximum attempts for SC/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.

CSAT exam conduct in 3 steps like - 1)Preliminary Exam 2)Mains Exam 3)Personal Interview.

Optional subjects for IAS main exam:

Economics , Electrical Engineering,Geography, Geology ,History, Law,Management,Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Science, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science and International Relations, Psychology, Public Administration, Sociology,Statistics, Zoology, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Anthropology,Botany, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Commerce and Accountancy.

Preliminary examination has two sections and each section consist of 200 marks.Both sections are objective types questions.

Guidelines for CSE are as follows-

# Bachelor’s degree of a recognised university

# Age limit- 21 to 30 (33 for OBC and 35 for SC/ST)

# Attempts- 4 (7 for OBC and no limits for SC/ST)

You can do Indian Administrative Service after any recognized degree which also includes Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech). Students of any stream of B.Tech are eligible for the Indian Administrative Service.

You can apply for the Civil Service Examination which is conducted for the Indian Administrative Service. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the entrance exam for Indian Administrative Service.


Eligibility

1. You should be citizen of India.

2. Any bachelor degree from a recognized college.

3. There isn't any percentage criteria.

4. The age of the candidate should be 21 to 30 years.

5. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC.

6. SC and ST are eligible for 5 years relaxation.


Selection Process

1. Preliminary Exam

2. Main Exam

3. Interview


Attempts

1. General - 4

2. OBC - 7

3. SC and ST - There is no limit.

YES, you can apply for the UPSC Civil services exams just after completing your BTECH.

UPSC will conduct the next Prelims Exams on 19th MAY 2013
Notifications for this exam will come out on 2nd February 2013
Last date to apply is 4th March 2013

Educational Qualifications: Graduation pass in any Stream

Age Limit-
Minimum 21 years
Maximum 30 years
Candidates belonging to OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations

Attempts
General candidates- 4 times
OBC- 7 times

Ofcourse you can,if you get the degree of any field you may eligible to IAS,but you have to work hard and read books,join in best IAS coaching center in india
