Whatever you're specialization is not an issue. Only criteria is that the candidate should be hold bachelor degree course in any discipline from recognized university. IPS means (Indian Police Service) and this Entrance Examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for every year. Required qualifications for appearing in IPS Entrance Examination is that the candidate should be qualified in Under graduation course in any stream from recognized university. No Minimum Marks required for this Entrance Examination and Final year candidate may also eligible to apply for this IPS Entrance Examination. Besides these criteria, the IPS Entrance Examination has an age limit of 21 years to 30 years for general candidates and Upper age relaxation will be provided into SC/ST candidates and OBC candidates. Applicant should be Citizen of Indian and Should be Physically as well as Medically According the IPS Criteria . So, The candidate who satisfy the all this Criteria are eligible to apply for IPS Entrance Examination. The Selection Procedure for this Entrance Examination is divided into, Preliminary Examination,Main Examination,Personality test / Interview etc..
