Re: Can I give Bank Clerk Exam having secured 54.2% in Intermediate and being a candidate of pursuing final year B.Tech?
12th pass out candidates can apply if they have secured over 55% in the same. Since your marks are lower than this you cannot apply on this basis. Now you can apply only after you clear graduation. Any pass out with any area of specialisation can apply for the same. So you will now be eligible for the exam to be conducted in 2012.

dear friend,
you have only 0.8% less than 55% in 12th. so you give exam only after graduation. because eligibility for this exam is 55% in 12th or passed graduation. so you have to complete graduation first. best of luck. |

Re: Can I give Bank Clerk Exam having secured 54.2% in Intermediate and being a candidate of pursuing final year B.Tech?
Sorry, now you can not apply for bank clerk exams before complete your graduation because 12th passed students can only apply if they are passed with minimum 60% marks. And sc/ st candidate have relaxation of 5% marks. In some cases few banks allow for 55% marks and relaxation of 5% marks for sc/st. So if you are a sc/ st candidate you have little chance to apply otherwise sorry you can not apply. Now complete graduation with minimum 55% marks then you will be eligible for bank clerk and p.o too.

Re: Can I give Bank Clerk Exam having secured 54.2% in Intermediate and being a candidate of pursuing final year B.Tech?
Basically for getting into any public sector bank as cleck candidate is needed to write the online exam conducted by the IBPS and if candidate gets qualified in the written exam conducted by ibps ten he need to attend the interview conducted by the banks individually.
According to your qualification you are NOT ELIGIBLE for the bank clerk exam because Intermediate is not the required educational qualification for writting any of the exams conducted by IBPS but the minimum qualification must be a degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. Even you are not eligible for the SBI clerck exam which has interm, ediate as the qualification as you need to have a minimum of 60%. So, try to complete B.tech so that you gets eligible for writting any of the exams to get a bank job and note it down the percentage is not at all a criteria as per the present information. So, it's better to have a minimum of 60%. |

IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personel Selection . IBPS conducts Common written test for the recruitment of candidates for various fields in bank sector. The eligibility criteria for the IBPS exam is : 1] Nationality : A candidate should be the citizen of India . 2] Age : 20 to 30 years For General category 3 years age relaxation for the OBC 5 years relaxation for the SC/ST 3] Educational Qualification: A candidate should be a degree holder in any discipline from any recognised university . No Percentage criteria for the IBPS exam . A candidate who has passed in the degree exam with pass class is also eligible for writting the IBPS CWE Certificate of computer Knowledge is not mandatory . So my friend your marks in the intermediate is not at all the hurdle to appear for the IBPS exam . Also , though you are appearing for the B.Tech final year still you can appear for the IBPS CWE . But you will have to produce the degree completion certificate for the Interview . So ,with the qualification of B.Tech appearing you can also write the IBPS CWE for the post of Probationary Officer . All the best !! |

Re: Can I give Bank Clerk Exam having secured 54.2% in Intermediate and being a candidate of pursuing final year B.Tech?
Why do you want to give Bank Clerk examination after completing Bachelor of Technology? There are much better options than the Clerk Examination like the Indian Engineering Service or the Public Sector Undertaking.
I will strongly urge you to reconsider this decision and consider options that I mentioned above. If you have doing B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and Communications or the Civil branch then I will strongly recommend that you should apply for the Indian Engineering Service. Even if you scored low percentage, it would be still possible to apply for the Indian Engineering Service entrance exam. There is no percentage requirement for the Indian Engineering Service. However for Public Sector Undertaking, you should have minimum of 60 percent marks to apply for it. But in any case if you have decided to go with banking job then yes you can apply for the IBPS Clerk entrance exam. Although if you manages to score 60 percent marks in graduation then I will suggest you to appear for the IBPS Bank PO entrance exam. IBPS Clerk Eligibility 1. You should have Indian citizenship. 2. Any bachelor's degree from recognized college. 3. There is no criteria for marks. 4. You should have diploma/degree in Computers. 5. Else Computer Science subject in 12th or college. 6. The lower age limit is 20 years for the exam. 7. Uppper age limit is 28 years. Relaxation 1. 3 years for the OBC. 2. 5 years for SC/ST. 3. 10 years for PWD candidate.
