i m student of B.A final year. can i give the exam of ips.

IPS stands for Indian Police Services in which appointment is done through Civil Services
Examination. The examination is conducted by UPSC once in year generally.

You can definitely apply for Civil Services Examination during final year of graduation.

You can apply for the exam and appear the Preliminary examination even if your
result has not been published but you must have your result at the time appearing the
main examination.

If you qualify the Preliminary Examination but fail final exam of graduation then you can't
appear Main Examination.

you can attempt IPS (Indian police services) exam while in the final year of the graduation
or after the completion of the graduation.

general category candidates can attempt for 4 times while for candidates belongs to
OBC ( other backward classes ) attempt limit is 7 times and for the students belong
to SC/ST there is no restriction on attempts .

->You must be at least 21 years of age at the time of filling the Civil Services.
->You must possess a graduate degree in any discipline of any of the Universities .

Special Physical Requirements for IPS:

->Minimum height of 165 cm for Men and 150 cm for Women .
->Min Chest girth fully expanded: 84 cm for Men and 79 cm for Women. Expansion of 5 cm for Men and Women.
->Presence of Squint is a disqualification
->Distant vision for Better eye is 6/6 or 6/9 and Worse eye 6/12 or 6/9.

The learner will install the module in a Cisco Catalyst 6500 Switch and initialize it. The learner will use a Cisco Catalyst 6500 Switch to capture network traffic for intrusion prevention analysis. The learner will install and recover the sensor software image and perform service pack and signature updates. The learner will use the CLI and IDM to verify system configuration.

OF COURSE YOU CAN FILL UP THE FORM OF UPSC IPS EXAMINATION. WHEN YOU ARE APPEARING IN FINAL YEAR EXAM OF YOUR UNIVERSITY YOU CAN ALSO APPLY FOR THE IPS EXAM.

For IAS/IPS exams you can get the job of Indian Administrative Service like DC Deputy Collector or DM deputy Magistrate and for IPS you can get Superintendent Of Police i.e. SP etc.

The Age limit for UPSC exam is 21 to 30 years on 1 August of Exam Year i.e. If you are appearing in 2012 UPSC exam then your age should between 2 August 1982 to 1 August 1991.

FIRST OF ALL YOU HAVE TO CHOOSE THE SUBJECTS.

I suggest you to take Arts Subjects like History, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy etc. If you have good writing skills then you can absolutely Crack the Exam.

After that you have to go for the Question Pattern of Exam so you should download and print Previous Years Question Papers from www.upsc.gov.in

Model Test Papers and Sample Papers are most important for Practice.
