How to become an IPS officer if I am a B.Com final year student?


Hello, my name is vinita sharma and i am a b.com. final year student, I am intrested to become IPS officer but i don't know the procedure, please guide me. How much percentage require in graduation for IPS officer please guide me i need this.

To become IPS officer you will have to appear for the Civil Service Examination which is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission on the yearly basis. IPS means Indian Police Service. It is very important part of law and order in the country.


An IPS officer has various responsibilities. He/She has to provide security to VIP guests at the same time IPS officer has to burst drug and human traffacking rackets. The responsibilities also include controlling violence and riots. During such scenarios, IPS officers are consistently briefed by the top officials of the state government to take note of the situation.


In recent years IPS officers have also become active in anti-terrorism and anti-naxalism operations. They have conducted joint operations with CRPF and the BSF in the infected areas of various states in the country.


The prodecure to become IPS officer is quite simple. You need to appear for the Civil Service Examination. Once you have completed graduation, you would be eligible to appear for the Civil Service Examination. There is no percentage requirement. Below are the requirements.



Eligibility

1. You should be Indian Citizen.

2. A minimum of Bachelor's degree in required to appear for Civil Service Examination.

3. The age limit for the exam is 21 to 30 years.

4. There is 3 years relaxation in upper age limit for OBC.

5. While SC/ST get 5 years relaxation.


Physical Requirements

Height:


Male: 165 cm (General) and 160 (ST)

Female: 150 cm (General) and 145 cm (ST)


Chest:

Female Min 79 cm expansion 5 cm

Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm


Eye Sight:

6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye

6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye

No color blindness or night blindness

Friend!!!!
Its sound good that, you want to serve the nation, I appreciate it.As you are final year student of B.com , so you are not eligible yet for this civil service examination.
The minimum educational requirement for appear in this examination is a graduation degree in any stream, but from recognized college.
In order to become a IAS\IPS officer, You must have to clear the CSAT examination, which is conducted by the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (UPSC).
This civil service examination has three stages to be clear....
1. CSAT
2. MAINS
3. INTERVIEW.

CSAT exam pattern-




Age limit-
21-30 years for the GENERAL candidates,..
21-33 years for the OBC Candidates..
21-35 years for The SC\ST candidates..

You must have Indian nationality.

Physical requirement-



Pay grade-



No. of attempts-
4 for the general candidates
7 for the OBC candidates
no such restriction for the SC\ST candidates..

To become an IPS Officer , You have to apply for the Civil Services Examination..

[U]UPSC conducts exam every year for this[/U]..


There are two stages..

1) Preliminary Examination (Objective Type- General Knowledge Questions)

2) Main Examination

Eligibility

>Bachelor's degree from a Recognized University
>Age Limit 21-30 Years (Age Relaxation for Reserved Categories)


Physical Requirements

Height:

Male: 165 cm (General) and 160 (ST)

Female: 150 cm (General) and 145 cm (ST)


Chest:

Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm

As you are a B.Com Final year Student, You should start Preparation from now.

After completion of Graduation , You can apply for this examination

IPS stands indian police services

IPS is one of the civil service exam
This exam conducted by union public service exam
This exam conducted once a year

IPS ELIGIBILITY :

You are must be a indian
You should be complete degree from recognized university
Final year appearing candidates also eligible for apply
You are age limit between 21 to 30 years
Upper age relaxation for reserved candidates

Preliminary exam
Main exam
Interview

Iam appear in B.com final year exam now. Iam need to become a IAS But i dont know to what is the procees to to apply for civils and how much of should pay for application and whear i need to apply.

Hey friend,

IPS stands for Indian Police Service

This is a Indian Civil Service Post and for getting into this post you need to write the entrance exam for it and the exam which you need to write is the IPS Exam which is being conducted by UPSC and is held every year for the post.

This exam selects candidate through 2 stages:
  • CSAT Exam
  • Interview

The exam needs candidate to satisfy the framed for the exam and they are:

>> You need to have a Citizenship in India as per the Nationality standard

>> The Age limit needed for the exam is 21-30 years for General category candidate

>> There are certain age relaxation for other category candidate

>> For Sc/St candidate it is 21-35 years and for OBC Candidate it is 21-33 years

>> Education qualification needed for the IPS exam is that the candidate must have completed a degree from a recognized university with a fair percentage.

>> Apart from all this you need to be Physically fit while appearing for the exam



If you satisfy all the criteria's mentioned above then you are eligible for applying for the exam and you can do that in 2 modes:
