I want to join air force as a pilot, and i did not attend the hssc exam, because i completed my diploma of electronics on the basis of ssc examination and now i am attending 2nd year of engg. in electronics.
can i join the air force as a pilot, please suggest me.

yes you can join it by doing SSB (short service commision) or some other upsc test but your age is less than 27 years.

yes you can do it by doing SSB (short service commission) but your age is kess than 25 years

Hello,
For becoming a Pilot you must have to appear for the flying training entrance exam. This is the exam taken for the training in flying club across the country.
The eligibility for the entrance test is 10+2 from authorized organization.
After getting selected in test you are called for one year training in flying club.
After successful training you will get job in Indian Air Force.

You can get a job in Indian Air Force as a Pilot after completion of your Graduation or

during your final year of Graduation.

There are three modes of entry for this.

1. Combined Defence Seivices Examination.

2. National Cadet Corps Special Entry

3. Flying Short Service Commission (Pilot)

The age limit for all the three mentioned entries is same.
Age Limit: 19-23 years.

You should have at least 60% in your B.E. to be eligible for these exams.
CDSE don't have such restriction as per marks obtained in B.E.

Applications are invited in the month of January/February from eligible male and female (both

unmarried) Indian citizens for SSC Course for Helicopter Pilots in Flying Branch for the courses

commencing in January and July.

Age limit for IAF Pilots :
19 to 23 years on the 1st of the month of commencement of the course.

Minimum Educational Qualification for IAF Pilots:
BSc {Physics/Maths) 3 years or BE 4 years or BSc (General) 3 years with Physics and Maths.
The candidate should not have failed INS-B/PAB Test earlier.
Should not have been suspended in Flying Training earlier.

so you need to complete you engineering to be pilot in air-force...

Indian Airforce

If you want to join Indian Airforce as a pilot then you must have passed your graduation or in final year.

Entry schemes to join Indian airforce:

1. Combined Defence Seivices Examination (CDSE)

2. National Cadet Corps Special Entry (NCC)

3. Flying Short Service Commission (Pilot)

The age limit for all the three mentioned entries is 19-23 years.

For pilot entry your height should be above 162.5cm.

You should have at least 60% in your B.E. to be eligible for these exams. CDSE don't have such restriction as per marks obtained in B.E.
