Hi,
I am Anisha and I am in 11th Arts.
I really want to do something for my motherland my country.
For this I want to join Indian Army.
So I want to know that can I join Indian Army?
If yes so what's the process to join Indian Army?

Sorry, to say that Girls are not eligible to join in Indian Army. To join in Indian Army, the candidate must have to appear in NDA examination by satisfying the required eligibility criteria mentioned below :-

1. You must be a citizen of India.

2. You must have attained the minimum age of 16 1/2 years and should not exceed the maximum age of 19 1/2 years.

3. You must have completed 12th or equivalent in any discipline from a recognised board.

4. You must be an Unmarried Male candidate.

5. You must be Physically and Mentally fit as physical standards mentioned in the UPSC NDA exam notification.

Dear I am really sorry to say this you are not eligible to apply with Indian Army with 12th qualification. The reason for this only Male Unmarried candidates are only applicable to write this Examination (NDA ). It refers to National Defense Academy.

There is an option for your problem. If you complete graduation then you will have a chance to apply for CDS examination. For this both Male and Female candidates are eligible.

For Indian Army you should have age in between 19 to 23 years.And you must also satisfy the physical standards according to the norms of UPSC.

Selection Procedure will be based on the Written examination, SSB Interview and Physical and Medical Test there after.

Most of the students tend to appear for NDA to join Army, so let us forst let us see tge various eligibility criteria for selection in NDA which are given as follow-
1. Age should be between 16.5 to 19 years.
2. At least intermediate cleared with any stream.
3. Male candidate
4. Unmarried candidate.

So,I am sorry to tell you this but for NDA, girls are not eligible.
But, if you have the spirit of joining the Indian Army then you can do so after graduation. There are many options after graduation for joining the defense services. Some of those options are-
1. CDS exam,
2. university entry scheme
3. Air force conducts its own exam AFCAT which girls can also give after graduation.

** Female candidates are not eligible to join in indian army with 12th as qualification .
** Female candidates are eligible to join in indian army only after completion of Graduation .

So , you should go for graduation now . After completion of graduation ,

> The candidates can apply for the NCC WOMEN post in indian army
Age shouldbe in between 19-25 years only .
The candidate shouldbe a citizen of India


> The candidate can also apply for the cds exam to join in army
cds = combined defence service
to join in army through cds exam , age shouldbe in between 19-24 years only.
the candidate shouldbe a citizen of india and an unmarried candidate
