i am doing b.tech in information technology can i join merchant navy ?

Can I join Merchant Navy after diploma in Information Technology

Hi,

Eligibility for MERCHANT NAVY:-

Unmarried male

Belong to age group of 19-23 years

Should of Indian

Should have completed his graduation from a recognized university (with Physics, Mathematics, at 10+2)

Final year students can also apply

National Cadet Corps Special Entry (Through CO NCC Unit / DG NCC)

As a air Wing Senior division 'C' certificate holder of the National Cadet Corps, you can apply to flying branch.

Physical Eligibility For joining Merchant navy as Deck Cadet are as follows: -

A candidate should be physically and mentally fit.

Eye Sight = 6/6,

Height = 167 cms,

Weight = 50 Kg

Chest = 77 cm (Normal) / 82 cm (Expanding)

Merchant Navy is a programme which undergoes in ships for transporting vessels, cargo liners, tankers, carriers, as well as other special types of vehicles.

You must have done B.E/M.E in Marine engineering or B.sc nautical science.There are certain eligibility criteria's which you need to do these course so that you can join in Merchant Navy.

Eligibility:

B.E Marine Engineering:

Duration: 4 years

Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English

B.S.C Nautical Science:

Duration: 3 years

Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English

M.E Marine Engineering:

Duration: 2 years

Eligibility: B.E Marine Engineering.
