It is not possible to join merchant navy after completing B.COM.
There are in basic three options to join merchant navy
1)After completing B.SC in nautical science,it is a three year bachelor degree course and can be done after completing intermediate with physics,chemistry and mathematics.
Physical fitness is necessary,cost of course-8 lakhs.

2)B.TECH in marine engineering,4 year engineering degree is necessary to join merchant navy.Here also it is compulsory to study intermediate with physics,maths and chemistry and qualify a engineering entrance exam like JEE etc.After that study engineering in marine engineering for four years.Course fees is same as that for nautical science.

3)After completing engineering in mechanical engineering,one can join merchant navy,four year engineering course in mechanical is needed.But here after completing engineering,one have to do various courses of two years,three years to join merchant navy.Basically it is not a direct entry in merchant where as above two are considered direct entry in merchant navy.
