Can I pursue IAS after having a history of Arrears


i am an engineering student having history of arrears. i wanna pursue IAS.

Dear Friend,
You have every chance to pursue IAS. To pursue IAS you have to apply for the Civil Service Examination.

To become eligible to apply for the civil service examination you have to be a graduate and your age should be between 21 years to 30 years.

As you are an engineering student so you have not completed Graduation so right now you are not eligible to apply for the civil service examination. You will become eligible for the examination after completing B.Tech course.

So first complete graduation and then apply for the civil service examination.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR IAS EXAM


This exam is conducted by UPSC in once time in year.

Those candidate are graduate from any recognized university with any discipline are eligible for IAS exam.

But your age should be in between 22 to 30 years old.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC category as per govt rule.

The maximum attempts for SC/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.

Also you must be in citizen in India.

Optional subjects for IAS main exam:

Economics , Electrical Engineering,Geography, Geology ,History, Law,Management,Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Science, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science and International Relations, Psychology, Public Administration, Sociology,Statistics, Zoology, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Anthropology,Botany, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Commerce and Accountancy.

You can choose the subject in sense of your strength .

The IAS selection process is consist in three way

1)Preliminary exam
2)Main exam
3)Inter View.

Civil Services Preliminary Exam, 2012

Date of notification: 04-02-2012

Last Date for Receipt of Applications: 05-03-2012

Date of Exam: 20-05-2012

Civil Services Main Exam, 2012

Date of Commencement of Exam: 05-10-2012

Yes, you can purse IAS after having a history of arrears as to purse IAS you should have a graduation degree with other eligibility criteria.

IAS - INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE, to become an IAS officer one should appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for the reserved candidate.

The registration process for this year Civil Service exam has already been over. As you are interested you may apply for the same next year.

I hav done Bsc in computer science but I hav 4 arrears I dont want to go my colge to write my papers .. As am a girl I don't know wat to do but I wish to study more and want a job with high pay and I have interest in doing business... Plz give me good suggestion

Hi, I am doing my BA historical studies in Madras University (correspondence), my age is 31 (January 9, 2017) at present, I have 3 arrears (2013-2016), there is any chances for me to write UPSC exam, my caste is MBC, please reply.
