Yes, if you complete your B. Tech in Information Technology or even if you are in the final year you will be eligible to apply for General Aptitude Test In Engineering (GATE) examinations.

GATE is an All India examination administered and conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Sciences and seven IIT's on behalf of the national Coordination Board-GATE, Dept. of Higher education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRG), Govt. of India
