Can an ITI Diesel Mechanic become a Loco Pilot? How should I prepare for it?

I have complete ITI in Diesel Mechanic trade and want to prepare for Railway exam. Please tell me can I become a Loco Pilot? How should I prepare for it?

Yes, ITI Diesel Mechanic is eligible to apply for locopilot exam.

You will have to clear Written Exam and Personal Interview to become Locopilot.

To prepare for this exam, candidates can refer books like:

Hello,yes you are eligible for loco pilot. Qualification- to become loco pilot or train driver you qualified in class 10th or equivalent Qualification from recognized board or university. You completed ITI or DIPLOMA IN MACHANICAL/ELETRICAL/ELECTRONICS/AUTOMOBILE ENGINEERING from an recognized institution.
