Can open university students, apply for civil services examination?
i need details of IAS exams, eligible. whether open university students can apply for ias exams

Friend following are the eligibility criteria:
Age limit- 21-30 years and relaxation for SC/ST and OBC. Education qualification- 10+2+3 from a recognised institution. No. of attempts- 4 for general, 7 for OBC and no limit for SC/ST. So follow the above criteria. |

Yes open university students can apply for civil services.
The age limit is 21-30 with relaxation for SC/SC/OBC candidates. Qualification is graduate with 50% of marks. |

Eligibility conditions for CIVIL SERVICES UPSC:
Age limits: Not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years as on 1st August, 2011 The upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the notice Educational qualifications: Degree of a recognized university or an equivalent qualification Physical standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the regulations given in the appendix-III of rules for the civil services examination, 2011 published in the gazette of India extraordinary dated 19th February, 2011 Number of attempts: The maximum number of attempts permissible to different categories of aspirants, who are otherwise eligible, will be as follows General category (04); P.H. candidates belonging to general category (07); OBC (07); SC/ST/ (no limit) For complete detailshttp://www.upsc.gov.in |

can we study on our own with out the help of any institution and apply for the first stage of ias preliminary examination? and even for the main? if yes... how shall we get our hall tikets?

Hi,
I am intrested to attend for civils (IAS) examination.but Iam worried abt my qualification. whether i am eligible are not. My qualification was... After completing class X , I have done Graduation from Open university (dr.br.ambedkharUniversity) . I dont have intermediate. I have 3 years gap in between class X and graduation from Open university. Now i am 19 years old. And my marks% is also average. Please let me know whether i am elgible or not. Hi,
I have given 12th exam twice from MSBSHSE.In first attempt,my score war 55.17% then I gave grade improvment exam of which the result is to bd announced and I shall done my B.A. from open university.Sir pls tell me will I be eligible for UPSC exam.2 |
