i am doing civil enginering and i want to know that as a civil engineer what computer course should i join during my vacations so that it will help my future studies.....

You should do a course in Computer Aided Design (CAD) during your vacations since majority of the civil engineers are using the same for making architectural designs. Doing Auto CAD would help you in your career in the future, if you are intending to make a career in Civil Engineering.

hello friend,according to my openion if u have interest in software then only you go computer oriented vocational courses unless u do't do this....

If you want to learn you have to show so much of interest you may get the chance to complete computer course in vacation I wish you All the best

2.power systems
3.cad designing
4.arch graph and industrial management in it softwares.

Thats a good thought. You can join many courses to make your computer part strong.

So focus mostly on designing aspect which is Autocad. Its basically designing course which will be tought to you in your 3rd or 4th year of engg. But better learn it before in detail

Along with that you can eevn study some prgramming languages like C,C++,Java,TALLY etc

As you a student of civil engineering, so it is better for you to doing training in any construction company.
But as you want to do some computer course during your vacation, it will sure help you to knowledge about computer.

As an a Civil engineer you should have command on design and analysis software's like AUTOCAD( both 2d and 3D).

Apart from this you should also learn software's like Primvera, Stad-pro, GIS and MS-Project.

You should also learn C language which will help to reduce laborious work of yours by writing simple codes and executing them.

See,It really does help but only when u are clear with basics..
I would suggest you to go for the basic courses like Autocad and 3ds Max in the begining..ONce you are done with this..Please move forward.I would suggest you to look for internship which gains you the practical knowledge.
