Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) was established on November 1, 1956. At present APPSC has the strength of 1 Chairman and 9 members. The one of the major functions of APPSC is that it makes Direct Recruitment under the Article 320 (1) of Conbstitution of India. The other important functionalities of APPSC includes Conduct of Examination for Admission to RIMC (Dehradun), Consulting in cases of appointment of contract extending over 5 years, Conduct of Departmental Tests for several departments etc.

Job profile:

The work is to teach students in the Government Degree Colleges in AP Collegiate Education Service. The candidates need to have a good grip over his communication.

Eligibility:

Candidates should be between 18 to 34 years of age. Candidate must have passed National Eligibility Test (NET) for lecturers conducted by UGC, CSIR or similar.

Educational Qualifications:

Masters degree certificate in the relevant subject with an average of 55% marks or equivalent is acceptable. Relaxation of 5% marks may be provided to the SC/ST category student.

No. of posts: 1017 posts in total are available.

Pay scale: Rs.8000 - Rs. 13500

Selection process:

Candidates are required to undergo a written examination before getting the jobs. Selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of the examination result.

How to apply: Candidates can apply online at Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commision Website before 31 December 2009. Application Fee of Rs 25 and Examination Fee of Rs. 80 should be submitted by the candidates in the prescribed challan form in any branch of State Bank Of India.
