You can write IIT-JEE, AIEEE and IIST exams to get admission in reputed colleges.

If the engineering colleges and universities in your state are providing aeronautical Engineering then you have to take your state's engineering entrance test like KCET, EAMCET etc.

Apart from these some institutes are also providing certified or license courses.

You can also go ahead with AME(Aircraft Maintenance Engineering) courses, these are three year duration courses.

Both Aeronautical Engineering and Aircraft maintenance Engineering go hand in hand. Both of these have good opportunities based on the prospectus of the aerospace and aviation industry.

The admission process of aeronautical engineering is similar to other engineering courses. The students can write many entrance exams according to the college and state they have opted to join. Some of the entrance exams are AIEEE, AMIE, Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, ISAT Admission Test, Joint Entrance Examination, National Aptitude Test, State wise Entrance Examinations etc.

Selection to the graduate courses in aeronautical engineering ( BE / B.Tech ) is based on merit i.e the marks secured in the final exams of 10+2 and through entrance exams.

Entrance to the IIT's is through 'JEE' (Joint Entrance Exam) and for other institutions through their own separate entrance exams and other state level and national level exams.

Most of the institutes conducting engineering courses in Aeronautics consider JEE score as the qualifying grade.
