I am working at Rifle Factory of India,Ishapore (Ministry of Defence) as a semi-skilled, and i want to appear for the departmental exams for the post of Chargeman.But for that I need to complete my diploma in mechanical engineering. Now I want to know that will diploma in mechanical engg. from Karnataka State Open University/Institute of Mechanical Engineers, i.e IME (through Indian Pacific Institute of Technology and Management, i.e IPITM ) be valid and acceptable for the said post. I have heard that central govt. now accepts diploma from any AICTE/UGC approved university??Is it right??

Please let me know as early as possible that will pursuing the distance diploma course in mechanical engineering from KSOU make me eligible for appearing in departmental or other Govt jobs requiring diploma???Please help me out.

yes, in ordnance factories the diploma done by ime (mumbai) is valid.

It is not valid.... Because in Mumbai IME, students have not been made chargeman.... Factory had put stay on their result as IME is not Approved by "AICTE"

cad has see this case after 2 month case will final i think ime mumbai is valid because it recognize by ugc or AICT
