NEET Exam Details:-

NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi has decided to conduct this examination for the undergraduate and post graduate courses in medical and dental.

All India Institute of Medical Science is not a part of the NEET exam which means you need to give AIIMS exam separately. But through NEET the other top medical colleges in India can be entered. This in a way will help the students to focus one exam instead of trying to prepare haphazardly for several medical exams which was the case even a couple of years back.

As this exam is for the students who wants to pursue a career in medical field therefore its pretty obvious that you need to have science in class 12 as your compulsory subjects. The minimum qualification required to sit for this exam is that you need to be a higher secondary passed out candidate and in addition to that you need to secure 50% of marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics taken together.

For the SC/ST candidates there is percentage relaxation. Instead of 50% they need to get 45% of marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics taken together. Students of both categories needs to pass separately in physics, chemistry and mathematics.

The minimum age limit for general category candidates is 17 years. For reserved category candidates there is a five year age relaxation.

At the most you can give this exam for three times and this year the exam is supposed to take place on 5th May 2013.

For the NEET UG exam questions will come from the following sections: Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. A total of 180 questions will be there and you need to complete the whole paper in three hours.

Hope this helps :-> :->

Hello friend

NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test.This is a national level medical entrance exam conducted by the Medical Council of India every year.

The Percentage that you have secured will matter in the NEET exam because the candidates who had completed 12th with 50% or more in Physics,Chemistry and Biology are eligible to appear for the NEET exam.

So,try to secure more than 50% in 12th and score good marks in NEET so that you can get a admission into the good medical colleges.

All The Best
