IPS stands for Indian Police Service and this entrance exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for every year.

IPS ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-

->Candidates should be completed bachelor degree or equivalent from recognized university to apply for this entrance exam.

->Age should be more than 21 Years and less than 30 years and Upper age relaxation will be given to candidates 5 years for SC/ST category students and 3 years for OBC category students.

->Candidates must physically as well as medically fit.

->The selection of the candidates will be based on Civil Service Aptitude Test, Main Exam and Interview.

IPS Exam Eligibility Criteria:-

-You need to be a citizen of India.
-You need to have a graduate degree from a recognized university.
-The degree can be attained in any discipline of your choice from a recognized university.
-The minimum age limit is 21 years old.
-For general category candidates the upper age limit is 30 years.

There is age relaxation for the reserved category candidates.

-SC/ST Candidates: 5 years
-OBC Candidates: 3 years
-Defense Personnel: 3 years
-Ex-Servicemen: 5 years

The Civil Services Exam is a paper based test and consists of the following successive stages:

-Preliminary Examination
-Main Examination
-Interview Session

No. of Attempts:-

-General Category: 4 Times
-OBC Category: 7 Times
