IPS stands for Indian Police Service and IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service.
IPS and IAS exam is conducted by UPSC under Civil Services exam in every year. For apply this exam candidate should be an Indian citizen. Educational qualification :- Candidate should be completed Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University. Age limit:- Age should be between 21 years to 30 years for General category candidates. Age relaxation for OBC category candidates 3 years And SC/ST category candidates 5 years. Number of Attempts:- General category candidates - 4 time OBC category Candidates - 7 time SC/ST category candidates - No limit. Selection procedure :- - Preliminary entrance exam - Main entrance exam - Interview |

For both the I.A.S and I.P.S there is a common entrance examination as Civil Service Examination conducted by UPSC .
The eligibility criteria are :- 1.Educational Qualification :- Candidates must be graduation passed or in the final year of graduation from a recognized university in any discipline . 2. Age :- Candidates age must be 21-30 years for general category students and relaxation of 3 and 5 years in upper limit for OBC and SC/ST candidates . 3.Attempts :-General -4 OBC---7 SC/ST - No Limit . The examination is conducted in three parts :- Preliminary . Mains . Interview . Only candidates who have passed in the first stage one are eligible to go for second stage and so on . |
