Information Regarding GATE-2012 Examination.

GATE examination is conducted by the management of IIT college for the admission in the M.Tech course at IIT college. Many other college also take admission in the M.Tech course through the GATE score card. If you want to know about the eligibility criteria of GATE exam then here i give you the details information about GATE eligibility criteria.

Eligibility Criteria of GATE Examination.

->Bachelor degree holder in the field of engineering/Technology/Architecture.
->Master degree holder in any branch of science/Mathematics/Statics/Computer Application.

NOTE :- According to GATE-2012 notification the pre-final year candidates are not eligible to apply for the GATE examination. Only final year and pass out candidates are eligible to apply for the GATE examination.

Eligibility for GATE

GATE (Graduation Aptitude Test in Engineering) exam is conducted for admissions in M.Tech in the top institutions of India like IITs,NITs,BITS,IISc and many more..

In order to appear for the GATE-2012 you need to fulfill the following criterion :-

1) If you are be a B.Tech degree holder or a final year degree student from an AICTE or UGC recognized University..

2) If you are a Master's degree holder or a dual degree holder or in the final year of any of these programs then also you are eligible..


NOTE :- Pre-final year students or 3rd year students of B.Tech are not allowed to sit for the GATE-2012

GATE entrance is held once in year,to intake qualified students for post graduation course.This exam score is valid for 2 years.

Eligibility criteria for GATE-2012:
Candidate should have complete graduation degree in B.E/B.Tech/Architecture/Statistical Course.
Candidate being in final in above mentioned course can also eligible for this exam.

Important dates for GATE-2012 exam:
Issuing of application form from 12th Sep 2011 to 17th Oct 2011.
Exam will held on 29th Jan 2012.

If you are the graduate and the post graduate candidates in engineering, mathematics, computer application then you can apply for the GATE. But you should note one thing that you cannot apply if you are pursuing your degree.

Dear pal,
GATE is a national level aptitude exam conducted every year. There has been some changes brought out in the eligibility criteria from last year. The academic background with which you will be eligible to write includes 1.Bachelor degree in engineering and 2. Masters degree in the field of science and mathematics. 3. Only final year aspirants are eligible. There is no age limit for appearing in the exam. There is no restriction to the number of attempts for the exam. And the gate score is valid for two years.

*There is no age limit bar you can do this at any time After your job also for better salary & a good post.
TO crack this exam you have to prepare your self seriously there are so many books like....









as you have not mention about your stream it is difficult to answer .

The eligibility criteria for GATE:-

(a) Bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering/Technology or its equivalent.

(b) Bachelor’s degree holders in Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/Electronics/ followed by qualifications obtained through an examination conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE.

(c) Bachelor’s degree holders in Architecture/Design (for M Des program only)

(d) Master’s degree holders in Physics with Electronics/Instrumentation (for M Tech programs).

**There are no age limit for candidate.

**3rd year student are eligible for GATE exam.

**GATE score are valid for 2 years.

**Final year student are eligible for GATE exam.

The only criteria to appear in GATE is a valid degree in Engineering. No minimum percentage or age restriction is quoted.

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all-India examination administered and conducted in eight zones such that One Indian Institute of Science(IISc),Bangalore and the Seven IITs(Bombay,Kharagpur,Kanpur,Guahati,Roorkee,Madra s,Delhi)

The most important news in GATE-2012 is that Pre-final year student ca not appear in GATE 2012 exam.

The above all papers will consist of questions of multiple choice type and also some questions of numerical answer type.
Each GATE paper shall have a General Aptitude component carrying 15 marks.
