ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR GATE
(i)Bachelor degree holders in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes. (ii)Master degree holders in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes. (iii)Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/ Technology or in the third or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master degree programme and Dual Degree programme in Engineering/ Technology. (iv)Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE by IE(I), AMICE(I) by the Institute of Civil Engineers (India)-ICE(I)) as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. Eligibility for GATE Exam:-
**Bachelor degree holders in Engineering/Technology/Architecture OR,Master degree holders in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Applications OR, Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology. **There is no Age limit. **And no number of attempts defined in GATE exam. **And also there is no minimum percentage criteria. The eligibility criteria for GATE exam- 1.One must have complete bachelor degree in any of the mention trade Engineering/Technology/Architecture.. 2.One must have complete master degree in any of the following trade- Any Science branch/computer application. 3.One can appear in GATE during the pre-final year or final year of graduation or Post graduation course.. Because the validity of GATE score is for 2years.. SO, work hard, prepare your self... All the best.. |

the GATE eligibility is given below 1.minimum graduation in BE/B.TECH. 2. MSC/MCA students are also eligible to attain in the gate exam. there have not any age limit to attain in the gate exam. GATE SYLLABUS for MCA:- ENGINEERING MATHEMATICS Mathematical Logic: Propositional Logic; First Order Logic. Probability: Conditional Probability; Mean, Median, Mode and Standard Deviation; Random Variables; Distributions; uniform, normal, exponential, Poisson, Binomial. Set Theory & Algebra: Sets; Relations; Functions; Groups; Partial Orders; Lattice; Boolean Algebra. Combinatorics: Permutations; Combinations; Counting; Summation; generating functions; recurrence relations; asymptotics. Graph Theory: Connectivity; spanning trees; Cut vertices & edges; covering; matching; independent sets; Colouring; Planarity; Isomorphism. Linear Algebra: Algebra of matrices, determinants, systems of linear equations, Eigen values and Eigen vectors. the minimum academic qualification to appear in GATE exam is- * Students pursuing B. E. or B. Tech. or B. Arch * Students pursuing master's degree in any branch of science/maths/computer/statistics If you fullfil any one of the above criteria, you are eligible. No age limit, no restriction on number of attempts. You can appear in GATE during the prefinal or final year or after completion of course. friend a student may appear for gate when he is in the prefinal yr of engg. degree or in case of bsc/msc course he should be min. graduate. hence as u are alrady pursuing mca u may appear for gate exam.also their is no %cutoff to appear for gate.also u have to give the gate exam in comp.sciences and it section.

GATE is conducted every year. With this score you can join in masters course in many university and colleges and also you are eligible for applying for public sector companies. The prerequirement for applying for the exam are 1. The aspirant should have completed bachelor degree in engineering. 2. Final year graduate can also apply . 3. Masters degree holder in the field of science , mathematics can also apply. The pass mark for the exam varies from year to year based on the students performance. The score is valid for a duration of two years. The GATE exam is held under different discipline and question paper differ from one discipline to the other. Common syllabus is only for mathematics questions. So please specify your branch to know the complete syllabus |
