60% overall required for appling for IBM,but it select to the base of merit,so 80% aggregate required to get a job in IBM...

IBM offers jobs at different levels like entry level,junior level etc. & in different fields like networking, software development, system administration etc. The eligibility criteria required for a particular job post depends on the nature of the job.

You have not mentioned for which job you wish to apply in IBM.

The general eligibility criteria for IBM is as follows:
1) Students should have aggregate above 60% throughout their academic career i.e 10th, 12th, graduation or post graduation.

2) No standing backlogs are allowed.

As per IBM placement criteria they are looking for aspirants having 60 % or 60 + throughout their 10 , 12 , and graduation.

the eligibility for any company like IBM is you have to do any related computer or electronic course

like B.Sc electronics

B.Sc computers

in B.tech (students of ECE CSE IT etc..,)

then about percentages in b.tech you must have 70 or so for top company's like IBM GOOGLE etc..,

and the percentages of 10th 12th and all should be consistently in a exponential growth

i.e . if your percentage in 10th is 65

then following 12 th should be>=65

okay

apart from all these percentages company will mainly look special ability's in you like

comm skill

management skills

leadership qualities

etc.

After completion of Graduation you can give the interview directly and you must have good communication skills.ok

It demands 60% allover on average basis but it will better if you have about 70% on the basis of merit list

ELIGIBILITY: Above 60% IN both 10th n 12th... for UG as well as PG, the candidate should hav 60% and its gud to hav more than 70% to get placed.. gud luck!

you can get into ibm even after 2 year gap but then you have to fulfill all the eligibility criteria like the percentage of marks ,age ......

i have got 78% in 10th and overall percentage in B sc is 82% but i have only 49% in 12th due to some problems during 12th i hope you would give chance for students like me to attend campus interview.

i dont think so IBM follows all the criteria. I have many friends who are working in IBM , joined as fresher and now they are in good position. Some of them have same marks like 10th:-70%, 12th:-55%, BSc:-55% and MCA:-70%. But they are happily wokring in IBM. I dont know about senior level post , after 5 yrs exp are they follow the same criteria or not.

i am btech final year student .i got 76% in btech;10th:=65;12th=59.5% .and i secure 76% in gate and i have sun java certificate;can i appicable for tcs,ibm or wipro.

For different post & for different qualification the eligibility criteria & minimum percentage required keeps on changing.
So you need to mention it specifically.

For B.E./B.Tech/MCA the minimum percentage required is 70% throughout in your 10th,12th & Degree.

Also you should not have any backlogs in any semester.

I got 86% in 10th... and due to some problem unfortunately i could secure just 59.9% in 12th... but i have scored 85% in my B.Tech overall..... so please lemme k know will I be eligible for a job in IBM or any other good s/w company.....

You have 60% marks in 10th,12th,ug and pg for joining in ibm. It is a good company.

The eligibility is you pass 10th,12th ,ug and pg with above 60%aggregate. Improve and devolp your skills, and get ajob from ibm company.

IBM JOB CRITERIA:-

1)through out 65% and in your academic career.
2)In b-tech and m-tech , you have score atleast 70%.
3)backlog are not allowed.
4)one year gape are allowed in career.

Am i eligible for ibm with 2 years gap after higher secondary?

which course should i choose for overcoming 12th percentage which are less than 60. i am thinking abt mainframe,testing. i know both they are indifferent from each other but plz suggest which one is better. i have completed my m.sc. in information technology..

i m an engg. student in final yr. in cse stream.
is there any need for other courses apart from the our academic subjects??
we do have c, c ,java,web technology, dbms......is it required to do courses in oracle,.net etc
